If you head 160 kilometres of Ega, you'll find the prominent city of Lisbon District.

Coimbra is just 16 kilometres to the northeast and is home to some wonderful things to see and do. Santa Cruz Church and Portugal dos Pequenitos alone will make the trip a memorable one. If you're not quite convinced, you should also take a look at Velha Cathedral.

Spend a day walking along the shore and hunting for shells at Live Beach or Nazare Beach.

Mother Nature's handiwork is on full display in multiple places around Ega. Just 35 kilometres away, National Forest of Bussaco is a great place to start. Mata Nacional do Bussaco sits 35 kilometres away and is another delightful spot for some downtime.

Join the legion of devoted fans cheering for the Académica de Coimbra at their home ground of Estadio Cidade de Coimbra, 17 kilometres away in Coimbra. You can blend in with the locals by wearing the club's colours, black.

Nothing beats a day spent zipping down the powdery snow at Ski Parque. Collect a trail map when you arrive and see how much of the terrain you can cover!

If you'd like to expand your horizons, add a day trip to Condeixa a Nova to your travel plan. This place is 4 kilometres to the east and is home to Conimbriga and the Museum. After more ideas? Montemor-o-Velho is 16 kilometres to the northwest of Ega and is proud to offer Montemor-o-Velho Castle and Santo Antonio dos Olivais Church.

Leiria Castle, Leiria Cathedral and Rodrigues Lobo Square are all quite close to Leiria, 45 kilometres to the southwest. Need some more reasons to call in? Norpark - Nazare's Water Park and Carlos Joalheiro Lda are not far away either.
