Beautiful bougainvillea plants. Plenty of parking. Adequate, large-enough room, comfortable king bed and pillows. Everything worked well. Being a 102F-degree day, the pool looked inviting from a distance. Closer look showed quite a bit of hair and similar debris floating on the surface-- does the skimmer not work? We opted to pass on the swim. However, later, many of a large clan were enjoying the pool. A/C worked wonderfully and surprisingly quiet in our room 118. A plus that the window could be opened and was screened, and that's all that was needed at night. We had a good dinner at the property's restaurant. Breakfast was provided, and was adequate, with a pancake machine, freshly-scrambled eggs using real eggs, sausage, cereals, mini-donuts, yogurts, apples. But the Breakfast Hours are hard for most guests-- 5 - 8 A.M. I get it that there are many Workers/birders/travelers staying there who may appreciate an earlier breakfast-- thank you on their behalf-- but just extend the hours until 9, at the very least. Why not? What's your rush to close up at 8???

The shower didn’t work properly. Very low pressure that dripped more than showered even with turning to adjust spray. Toilet also had low flushing power & water in the regular sink was smelly. Plumbing was the only issue.

Good place, but….

My only complaint is the $100 damage deposit, plus $3.75 surcharge that had to be charged to a credit card or no room. If they can’t tell a broken down 72 year old cowboy from a hoodie gang-banger… then you need to teach your desk people how to read people!

My e-bike was stolen there. The cable lock was cut. The manager didn’t bother to show up so the police could look at camera surveillance. Avoid staying in Brawley if you can. The Brawley police officer was very helpful and we appreciated that. He said 5 murders this year and e-bikes are most reported thefts. Haha they don’t have the battery or charger.

At bedtime, Y:14pm, noticed lightly 3-taps in a row coming from breezeway door to next room neighbor. Single woman terrified thinking someone wants in. Unable to sleep due to very firm mattress and “love taps!!” throughout night and early morning. Born & raised in Brawley, this Hotel was built circa late ‘70s or early ‘80s. At that time it was a top of the line, five/star Hotel. Well-worth the stay & fees. Now, many work trucks w/company logo; saw young guy drinking a beer (bottle/glass) by gazebo & swimming pool. Another man was walking parking lot & speaking on cell phone. Again, as a single woman, the impression these premises is their long-term “home.” Understandably, but probably sold through many hands and Hotel “slumlords” are not keeping up w/mandatory maintenance. I do not recommend this place esp. for a single young woman. Ten yrs ago, I joined Hotels.com for my job as CPS/SW. For every 10 stays, you earn one free night. I am very glad I did not throw away my earned stay there. However, felt I tossed $100 out the window! But that’s fine: I paid 1 maid; 1 continental breakfast cook, pool man, tree trimmer, clerk, lawn man. Now retired, I value my traveling, nice stay location & use Yelp. Either Yelp entry’s were fake, edited or paid to write good comments. Perhaps family owned/operated. In my opinion, $49.99 per night is outrageous for one-night stay. Lastly, I’m 100% sure now these rooms are used as a brothel; permanent housing for homeless or contractors.

Moved curtains to stop “parachute.” Notice either cig burns or scrapes seen through. Ok.
At nightfall, more obvious plus huge 1-1-1/2 door gap where lizards, rats can accompany me. Curtains stunk of urine & AC helped disseminate smell!!!
Unrepaired either upper room shower leak or roof leak. Requested first floor with handicapped parking. Stayed in Rm 121.

The person who checked us in had a terrible attitude. He had the nerve to ask us what the purpose for our stay was… not in a friendly or conversational way… like a quiz. He sat in an extremely low chair, never stood up or made any attempt to address us like guests. He literally typed our response into the computer. Then he pointed in the general direction of our room, and waived us off. The room was just ok. It was sort of clean, but had numerous questionable stains on the wall, but was otherwise okay enough for a quick stay on a road trip. When we checked out, we the person at the desk was friendly, accommodating, and standing so we could engage with him properly. Would not recommend.

Probably the best motel in Brawley. Pulled in for 1 night as we spent a few hours through sunset at the Imperial Sand Dunes just about 20 mins away. This was Day 1 of our southwest road trip thru Nevada, Utah and AZ. Restaurant right next door was solid. Parking easy, supermarket just a minute down the road. Breakfast was included but imo was below avg, typical hotel/motel breakfast, didnt like the taste of the sausage or eggs, but i never do at these types of motels.... the mini doughnuts were fire tho. Would stay again.
