I came for the museum, and it’s practically right next to the hotel. Wegman’s is also a short walk over a pretty bridge, where you may catch an Osprey looking for dinner. On to my gripes. They gave me a room facing the rear parking lot, and on both days I was awakened very early by their Sysco truck unloading. It seemed to go on for a long time. Also, the bathroom door is a sliding door, which could be uncomfortable for those sharing a room. The bathroom didn’t have a fan, and I noticed some mold growing in the corners of the shower. Aside from those things, it was the standard hotel stay.

This is actually a mixed review for Hilton Garden Inns. I had a lovely stay in Corning, where I was told that I had Hilton Honors status. The very next day I found myself in downtown Buffalo and badly needed a bathroom. I was happy to find another Hilton Garden Inn, where I assumed I'd be welcome. Instead I found that despite my status, I was unwelcome to use the lobby bathroom. It was as disappointing as it was dehumanizing, and (speaking of unwelcome), was an unwelcome reminder that the honors program is about customer manipulation, not about actual customer appreciation.

Great location and amenities!
The hotel was in a great location for our tour of Corning Glass and our visit to beautiful downtown Corning. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the staff were welcoming. Parking was ample and convenient. And we were only a minute away from Corning Glass!
