If you're wild about nature, you will love the quick stroll to Stump Pass Park. There are 265 acres of sandy trails, boating and miles of pristine beaches. The wildlife is amazing. Artists and sun worshippers aren’t the only species drawn to our little island. Our breathtaking beach is also popular with wildlife and ecotourists. It isn’t unusual to be joined by a heron on your walk, see a pelican fishing as you throw out your line, or perhaps you’ll come across a dolphin at play while kayaking the blue waters. Take a walk on the wild side and watch the sea turtle nests come alive with hatchlings May 1 to October 31.
Another fun amenity for the island is the "Stumpy Bus", a volunteer-run free shuttle in the form of a decorated 8-seat golf cart. Grab a cocktail and hop on board to most of the bars/restaurants on the island. They work for tips so bring some cash to share the love!
