You won't need to travel far to find Episkopi, 45 kilometres to the east of the prominent city of Paphos.

Kolossi, just 5 kilometres to the east, is regarded for Limassol Castle and Kourion Ruins. You'll kick yourself if you don't experience them for yourself.

Don't forget to bring a picnic chair so you can treat yourself to a leisurely lunch on the shore at Finikoudes Beach or Lara Beach.

We all know that spending time outside is good for you. Keeping that in mind, why don't you venture 25 kilometres out of Episkopi to Aphrodite's Rock? Mount Olympus, just 30 kilometres away, is another top option.

Travel back through time as you wander around Apollon Ylatis Sanctuary. This historical site has plenty of stories to tell.

There's even more to see and do just around the corner. Erimi, 4 kilometres to the northeast, is known for Kolossi Castle and Fasouri Watermania Waterpark. Though, if the Heroes Square and the Cyprus University of Technology are more appealing, head 7 kilometres northeast from Episkopi to Ypsonas.

Limassol, 15 kilometres to the east, may be right up your alley. Use it as a port of call when swinging by the Limassol Archaeological Museum, the Limassol Zoo and the Limassol Municipal Gardens. If you're still not persuaded, other nearby sights include Dasoudi Beach and the Limassol Municipal Park.

Feeling ready to nibble, gnaw, crunch, munch and guzzle your way across Limassol District? A world of tantalising flavours is waiting for you, so put on your stretchiest jeans and bon appétit!

Traditional fare here tends to include fish and fresh vegetables, two ingredients for which the local region is known for serving up.
