Decent price good staff

Stopped here a lot for business, staff always helpful and cheerful. Rooms a little worn but clean. Next to a pub for drink and food, but watch it doesn’t close the kitchen early, the pub wouldn’t take a order for simple meal at 8.02 pm as it had shut the kitchen at 8! Food decent. Always tight on parking when the pubs open but always managed to find a spot.

Away for work

This was a 1-night stay for work. Believe this might be an old Premier Inn. Free car parking available. I was in room 18 which was okay, just looked a bit tired (decor wise). The ensuite had new shower and tiling. The only heater was a wall heater controlled by a theromstat on the other side of the room, so until this was turned up the heat did not come on. No instructions in the room to help with this. TV was okay as was the Wifi. Bed was okay. The kitchen in the pub next to the hotel closed at 8pm (this was a Tuesday night) so check in case you can't go and get something else to eat.

Good hotel and staff

Staff very good, friendly and helpful. Rooms ok, bathrooms could do with updating but good enough. Handy to have the pub/ restaurant next door. Parking tight when pubs open

One night stay

We came down for a family wedding, we was recommended your hotel. We rang ahead because we knew that you checkout time would have been early. As we wanted to have the room a bit longer as the wedding was at 15.30. We was advised to do it on arrival. However on arrival we asked the guy at reception, to be told we could only have it 13.00. If we would have know this we would have gone elsewhere. The reason we could only have the room until 1300, was because the cleaners finish at 15.00. So we paid an extra £10.00 to have the room until 13.00. Sadly we had to spend 2 1/2 hours killing time before the wedding in our wedding clothes. On arrival to the room we moved a coffee table, to the other side of the room, and behind the coffee table there was a big pile of dust. The tap was also left running in the sink If we had not gone in there, when we did the bathroom would have been flooded.

Good value for money

Receptionist very good, helpful and friendly, she’s a great asset to the hotel. Stop for one night on business, parking very good, everything anyone would need is available at the reception area. Will be stoping again several times as we have a project locally.

Just the job for visiting our friends. Easy to find in such a built up area. Nice big rooms. Breakfast easy to order and on time. Needs Bread, butter and Jam on the menu.

Its an old Premier Inn - and it shows

This is an old Premier inn. obviously one they were selling on as the rooms were the old style rooms not the refurbished ones. Everything about this hotel was Premier Inn. Rooms, beds, bedding, even the artwork on the walls. Its obvious since it became Best Western nothing has been done on the rooms apart from installing a phone and some toiletries. The bathroom smelled, there was no toilet roll, the fan was broken, the bathroom floor very spongy, and not the cleanest and the mattress was lumpy. i had a deluxe room. Its an old Premier Inn. They dont have deluxe rooms unless you refer to the made up sofabed which a standard room didnt have. I would have been better off in a Premier Inn

This hotel is essentially a arrive, sleep and go. General condition was fine. Bed linen clean, but milk capsules out of date, torn bed base material, extremely old and marked bath tub. Our son had a separate room where the bath was better but the bed fabric was in a dire state and chair was very heavily stained. Despite low nightly rate, this was pretty awful and we will not be staying here again
