Frequent sightings of deer (bucks), raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, porcupines, ducks, and a variety of wild birds will complete your rustic retreat. We haven’t had any bear or moose sightings, but nature can always surprise us!

Amazing Stay
Riverland Lodge was so clean and on a beautiful property. We sat with a cup of coffee and took in everything this place had to offer. We saw deer, turkeys, rabbits. And two bald eagles visited a tree next to the river each day. If you want some piece of mind and time to relax this is an amazing place to stay.

Riverland Lodge was wonderful!
We were very impressed with Riverland Lodge. it had a wonderful river view with a wrap around deck that you could relax and have coffee in the morning or grilling out at night. It was perfect for the relaxing vacation we wanted. It was also close to many of the sites we wanted to see. The house was very clean and well kept and had everything we needed. And the hosts were very easy to communicate with. And our dog loved it as much as we did! Definitely would recommend staying here.

Week in the UP
We were looking for a private property on some water to just sit back and relax. We found that and more at Riverland Lodge. The house was clean and inviting and included everything you could possibly need for the stay and plenty of room for the four of us. We spent 85% of the trip outside on the deck or around the fire pit enjoying nature at its finest. The location was perfect for running to town for groceries or quick jaunt over to the casino for a few hours. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming.

Heading home feeling like a brand new woman. From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. Pictures posted for this listing do not do the entire property justice! The home is amazing and beautifully decorated. My family and I all felt at home the days/nights spent here. We talked about hosting several more birthday's & celebrations at Riverland Lodge.

The Perfect Escape!
This was honestly the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever had. Arrived very late and the hosts had kindly welcomed us with the lights and fireplace on. This house is absolutely stunning, and incredibly clean. Entire home is perfectly organized, and all dishes/silverware, cupboards and drawers spotless. Generous supplies provided. The cathedral ceilings add such an impressive, dramatic touch. High quality towels, linens and beds. New washer/dryer was so nice to have for our 9-day stay. The 5 acre property is gorgeous, quiet and secluded. To hear only the birds and the river was truly heaven for us. There are plenty of things to see & do in the area; however, we chose to spend all of our time at the house, enjoying the nature, tranquility, and comforts of the house with our dog. WiFi is excellent, should you need it. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully this fall. Thank you Audra and Steve for all your hospitality, and for sharing your lovely place with us! -Nancy, Linda & Lexi

Pleasant stay
We stayed here over the Thanksgiving break. Very calm and quiet place. Very clean and had all the supplies we needed in plenty. The RV tracks were livery to walk our dog and for some deer spotting. Also the occasional hunters. The only downside is the place does not have a dishwasher and so the utensils were a bit crusty as this entirely depends on the previous occupants. Would be great to have the housekeeping ensure the previous tenants did a good job. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

The property and home are pristine. My city dogs were afraid of new sounds and smells, but once settled in loved going in the river and exploring the beautiful yard. Enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the deer, wild turkeys, hummingbirds, frogs, snakes and even a bear on nearby trail. Close to Escanaba if you want to eat out or buy burgers for the grill. was a great mini vacation for us!! 100% recommend to you.

Escanaba-Hermansville Trail Ride
Amazing!! This was a great fit. Open and accessible for our truck and utility trailer, the interior space was beyond most at this price point anywhere, well appointed and very clean (first time in a long time my loving wife didn’t feel like she had to sweep and mop upon arrival), more supplies than we have ever had at a VRBO (tissues, bath tissue, paper towels, soap, etc.,) and immediate access to wildlife was icing on the cake. One of the boys caught a 16” small mouth bass from right off the porch, saw deer across the River most days and the day we were leaving we had a doe and her two fawns visit out front. The immediate access to the trail was a huge reason we selected the site but the benefits of the house and its location is why we will return. Love it and if you’ve read this far… you will too!

Our adult children had a wedding to attend close by, so we made a long weekend of it. The property was inviting on line yet didn't capture how warm and welcoming our stay was over the weekend. Plenty of room. Beautiful outdoors and the sound of water was so peaceful in the evening. Morning coffee on the deck began our days.
