Location was close to park and right off of creek, and that was our salvation. Burn marks and ripped sheets, hair dryer broken, stove burner came disconnected, kitchen was not well stocked making it hard to prepare meals. I should have paid more attention to listing, it didn’t list no A/C, but it didn’t have A/C listed either, you find out when you arrive (although I understand that some places don’t have AC, I felt like they were hiding that instead of being upfront, especially when the on-site employees defended that almost all locations in Estes Park don’t have A/C. I told told them that my two other accommodations had it, which was why it didn’t seem common to me). What really ruined the experience was the lack of empathy or customer service from onsite property staff. My booking pictures did not match room, when brought to their attention, they said they didn’t have the room I booked, then offered to refund my money, knowing that I would not be able to find another accommodation. They made it my problem, while rudely claiming they were trying to help. Even though it was their listing, and the person that posted it no longer works there, they kept telling me to take it up with VRBO. Another employee smoked right outside our open window. We asked her to move and she said she was near an ask tray. Ended up using fan to blow smoke from our room and stayed outside until it disappeared. I stay at VRBOs often, and do my research, but this was the first time I literally videotaped the conditions of the condo before I left-the property managers were just that untrustworthy. I wouldn’t trust this place and run the risk. I’m sure they will dispute these comments and that’s ok by me because I always have hope that it will lead changes and to a better experience for the next guest.
