The Beach cottage, Fully fenced and screened including the verandah, Three bedroom, fully self contained cottage at Eurong Beach Fraser Island.

This is the only completely FENCED property for your privacy and security for little ones. Large Paper Bark trees and gardens add to the appeal of this cottage. A wide verandah with excellent BBQ & wok facilities makes for easy outdoor living. NO STAIRS.

Three Bedrooms contain two queen sized beds, one double bed, and two sets of bunk beds, this accommodates from 2 to 10 people. Max 6 adults +4 children (no camping on property). Linen NOT supplied. You are required to provide your own sheets (top & bottom sheets please - no sleeping bags allowed), pillows and towels. Blankets available if required.

Large lounge/dining/kitchen area, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, gas stove & hot water, electric 520L fridge freezer, automatic washing machine, solar, 240v 24hour power. Fully insect screened, fans in bedrooms and insulated ceilings to keep you cool in summer. A beach shower is conveniently located near the property entrance. The cottage is self clean and you are required to clean on departure, with a refundable $200 deposit (included with the damage deposit held). This will be returned to you within 14 days on satisfactory post stay inspection. The house, lawns and gardens are maintained to a high standard.

Location

K'gari (Fraser Island) is accessible via barge at either Rainbow Beach (Inskip Pt) or Hervey Bay. You will require a Vehicle Access Permit prior to arrival on Fraser Island. The island is 4 wheel drive only and vehicles can be hired from Rainbow Beach.

A short 15 minute trip on the Mantaray Barge from Inskip Pt will land you at Hook Point. Drive north up the Eastern Beach for 34km from the Barge with the beautiful Pacific Ocean on your right, and the first sighting of houses will be Eurong Second Valley. Driving up the track you will arrive at a unique Hamlet with a few older style homes in a quiet bush land setting. This is where you will find The Beach Cottage.

The cottage is situated only a short 2 minute stroll down the sand track to the beach, with restaurant, shop, bakery & hotel a further 500m further along the beach front. Easy access to all popular lakes and rain forest areas, even if the tide is high.

Local attractions

K'gari (Fraser Island) is a World Heritage listed Island . Picture yourself driving down it's endless beaches or floating in one of the crystal clear lakes or creeks. Take a walk through the lush rain forest and witness the abundant wild life. Fraser Island is known for excellent fishing, especially during Tailor season (August - October) and much more to make your stay memorable.
Make yourself comfortable in this cottage, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony or patio. Conveniences include an electric kettle and a washing machine.

All you could ever need!
House was in a great location, kitchen was fully stocked with cutlery, pots & pans, plates etc. Outdoor screened patio with flat bbq & wok was the real winner! Outdoor shower was an added bonus! Bed were comfy enough (kids singles amazing) 1queen bed could do with a mattress topper but comfy enough to sleep on. House was clean and stocked with cleaning products, fridge was plenty big enough for 9 people for a week. Great location, great house & we will definitely return! Thank you!

The house is old and dated but met our needs. The couch was broken on arrival and was dealt with immediately by owner. I just found the rules around cleaning a little disconcerting. I appreciate the house should be left clean and tidy but the notices made you feel you had to do a bond clean. If you bring your own linen as we did I feel it’s a bit much to be asked to wash and peg out the mattress protectors. Maybe pay a cleaner

The cottage was a great place to stay for 5 days. the room with the double/queen and the 2 bunk beds was great for our family of 4. the brother in law got a room and a double to himself. Our friends with the 9 month old appreciated their own double/queen and room to themselves.

Comfortable and peaceful location
We enjoyed our stay at The Beach Cottage. We initially had planned for 10 of our family members to stay however some unforeseen issues occurred and just the 5 of us stayed. The property owner reached out and let me know the property was ready for an earlier check in, which I appreciated, thanks Donna. The home is well set out, and having young children, I appreciated having the fence around the home to enclose the yard. We had one visitor we nicknamed "Stumpy" (a goanna with not much of a tail). There are plenty of rules around the home that clearly outline expectations of guests (e.g. don't leave rubbish to attract Stumpy and his friends) and how to use amenities (such as dishwasher, power, gas stove etc). We stayed during winter so didn't make much use of the outside screened area though this would be most beneficial for a larger group in warmer weather (our days were spent exploring the beautiful island). The home is well thought out, having a shower in from the driveway to wash off the unavoidable sand from feet is a great idea. A clothesline in the screened sunroom is a good idea so that clothes don't become wet if there is a shower at the cottage whilst out exploring. There is also an outside bathroom.... though we didn't use this, it would be beneficial when a larger group is staying. There are cleaning products and brooms, dustpan, mop etc to maintain cleanliness during the stay and to use for departure cleaning. We appreciated the comfy new mattresses-thank you.

The outdoor screened area was the best part of this house. All the beds are very very old and could do with replacing. Other furniture has also seen better days- in saying that we didn’t spend any time inside really. Served it’s purpose for what we required.
