The property is fine and the facilities are good. The parking seems safe and is convenient, but the spaces marked for the Holiday Inn were very full. The spaces marked for Miller and Carter were available but it was not clear if it was ok to park there. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The bedroom was fine but stank of stale cigarette smoke. It was great the way the door closed to enclose the toilet within the bathroom for extra privacy among roommates. The breakfast was quite busy and the hot options were not restocked very quickly and the baked beans had fully run out. The croissants were burnt. The berries were not fully defrosted. The latte from the machine was not a latte and was frankly undrinkable. But once available, the scrambled egg and bacon were delicious.

Basic but ok

Nice basic hotel, convenient location, friendly staff. Room was ok but small for a family of 4, there was a bit of rubbish in room under sofa bed and bathroom was dusty but it was ok. Beds were a bit uncomfy, especially sofabed as dipped at the end, alright for smaller children!

Slighty tired hotel, but excellent service

Really great staff. Never had poor service at a holiday inn. Kudos to a chirpy Ben on the morning shift. This is slightly dated hotel and the bathroom set up is unfriendly with a step into the bathroom and a huge step into the shower. The bed felt like a tiny double. It is conveniently located which is why it is so popular. Breakfast was a highlight, well laid out, plenty of space and fresh food
