Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere. Service was very good and the food was delicious. Both the room rate and the food were expensive, but that’s what you get in the middle of summer in Iceland. Restaurant took a little too long to bring us our food but the meal was great. You pretty much have to eat at the hotel since there are no other options. Overall nice place.

Pricey for the room. I guess that's from a lack of competition. Higher end pricing for a mediocre room. The lobby and the restaurant were the best thing about the hotel. I expected more of a luxury room for nearly $500! All the staff were very nice.

We had a fantastic stay at Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon! The spa area with hot tubs and sauna was such a relaxing highlight after a day of exploring. The complimentary breakfast was incredible—tons of variety and even an espresso machine, which was much appreciated. The location is perfect, just a short drive to the glacier and Diamond Beach, which is an absolute must-see. Our room was a bit tight for three people, but the beds were super comfortable, the blackout curtains were essential for summer travel in Iceland, and the bathroom was spacious and modern. The hotel restaurant was quite pricey—our most expensive meal of the trip at nearly $200 USD for two—but everything else about the stay was exceptional. A great mix of comfort, luxury, and access to nature!

Lovely, modern, upscale hotel. We splurged for two nights on our trip in order to stay in this area. The room was nicely decorated, and clean. The mini fridge coolness was questionable. We enjoyed the hot tubs while overlooking the meadows that lead to the ocean, a nice way to relax after a day of exploring. Breakfast was plentiful, with a European spread of yogurts, fruit, cheese, meat, eggs, bacon, cereals and breads. The hotel is a reasonable distance to the Skaftafel hike, as well as the Svinafell glacier which was fun to explore. The Mulagljufur Canyon, and glacier lagoons aren't too far in the opposite direction.

It was fabulous! We arrived after a lagoon boat tour in the pouring rain. We were soaked to the bone. We got to our rooms to find robes and slippers which we immediately put on and headed to the jacuzzis. It was heaven! We had dinner at the hotel and it was fabulous! Our group is from New York and Chicago, so we are used to great food. We were pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Very nice stay, clean, comfortable. Staff very nice! Happy hour is great! Only one thing better selection on bar food maybe some hamburgers sliders or chicken fingers more choices. Breakfast buffet was really good!

Very nice hotel. Very expensive restaurant, and like most of Iceland, there are not a lot of choices on where to dine, when outside of Reykjavik. Very easy check-in. Heated floors.

Nice hotel!

Hotel was very nice. Beds were a little soft for my liking and the room was warm due to unseasonably warm weather and no AC in the rooms, but other than these two things, our stay was very comfortable.
