A bit ironically, the photos on the website don't really do justice to the house - it's bigger inside than it looks, in part due to the triple height, whitewashed internal beamed ceilings, and the property extending backwards a fair amount. The plot is also larger - there's extra decking by the poolside that you could fit 5 sunloungers on, plus a large front patio that a hotel would probably put 15 loungers on!
But then the view.....unbelievable! I doubt you will find a better view in any house in Antigua. You both see clear south to the sea and English Harbour and out to the distant ocean, but also to the east of the island and all the hills and coast there. It ends up being quite spiritual being able to see so far, watching the sun rise over the sea (from your bed!) in the morning and then all the way to setting behind the hills in the evening.
The house was perfectly well equipped - eg iron etc, beach chairs, an Alexa and Bose speaker for music - and all the other kitchen stuff. The pool is great, and well maintained (2 visits from the pool guy to clean etc).
And Stavon the property manager was very helpful - we struggled to find the house at midnight in the dark, but he was on hand to give us more detailed directions, and then checked in the next day and gave us a tour of the house.
I would say English Harbour/Falmouth is the best place to stay in Antigua - as you go north to Jollys or Dickinson, it gets much more commercial and crowded with hoards decending from cruise ships. But this area has great restaurants and is a low-level mix of family tourists and posh yachties coming ashore. And the beaches eg Galleon, Half Moon are unbelievable. As a Brit who normally holidays in southern France, Spain, Italy, I'm just not used to how unspoilt and undeveloped the bays are. You feel like an 18th century explorer!
So... we had a wonderful time!
