Electricity went out and then hot water water was turned off to restore electricity on 2 of 5 days.
Electricity went out and the manager sent out a service partner, he found that the hot water heater was tripping the power for the unit, so he unplugged it to restore the power. Once the hot water heater was disconnected we had power back but we no longer had hot water. We dealt with this issue for the last 2 of our 5 days here. Host would not discount the nights when the power went out or when the water heater was disconnected.
Besides that, the place smells heavily like mildew/water damage so if you are sensitive to that smell be careful.
The beds mattress were VERY firm and the bedding felt like very old children's bedding from 30 years ago. New and comfortable bedding would have been an easy way to make the room more comfortable but that was clearly not a concern.
One of the 3 bedrooms said "Private"on the door to note that it was unavailable but it was pictured in the listing photos as available as a third bedroom. It was the size of a closet though, so I'm glad we didn't invite more than people to share the apartment.
On the plus side the host was mostly quick to respond to messages but we still had to deal with the electricity and water problems for 2 days on our trip.
Lastly, the best part about the unit and the main attraction, is the location. You are in walking distance from the main beach in Portocolom and several really good restaurants. That said, everything outside the unit was great, inside, not so much.
