Romantic Get-a-Way!! 1954 Rail Road Caboose!! Relaxing Hot Tub!

Was voted the BEST Romantic Get-Away in Wisconsin!!

The 1954 Red Railroad Caboose provides seclusion on five wooded acres located four miles from the Mississippi River. The Caboose features a conversation area, an updated kitchen, new bath and gas fireplace. A double size futon and set of bunk beds provide sleeping for up to four people. Relax on the outside deck or in the hot tub while surrounded by nature at it's best.

Enjoy all the activities which nature provides, including trout fishing within walking distance.

Local dining is plentiful and casual with the well known Great River Roadhouse overlooking the Mississippi River only a fifteen minute drive away.

Sit in the cupola of the caboose and read a book or scope out the wildlife from the wrap around view.

Pets: Pets are accepted with an additional, non-refundable charge of $40 payable at time of reservation. Pets may not be left along in the Caboose or on the property.

Guest Clean Up: Bed linens and bath towels are provided. Prior to 11:00am check out guests are required to clean the caboose and leave it in the same condition as check-in. All Trash must be removed and put in trash container on deck.. Trash bags are provided.

Loved it!
We loved our stay! We were here in single digit weather and still had a blast. We enjoyed the complimentary wine, cozy hot tub, and nearby hiking. The snow was magical. We'd love to come back again to experience the caboose in warmer weather. Thanks for a great stay!

18 year anniversary was awesome!!
My wife and I had our 18 year anniversary and the host made it even more special! We had such a relaxing time staying at the Caboose. From the hot tub to the thick fluffy towels as well as the fireplace to the heated bathroom. Everything was perfect.The scenery was absolutely beautiful and seeing various wildlife made it even more special. Will definitely be returning for another stay! Thank you!!

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. Lights were strung up and the path to the hottub cleared of snow. Totally idyllic. The futon is very firm, but otherwise our stay was perfect.

Secluded Time to Wind Down
We would highly recommend this property to any couple with a pet! Theres a perfect amount of space to move around, it’s very clean, and John has all you need to survive. The quiet is welcome to relax. There are many hiking trails nearby with great views of the Mississippi river. This is a must visit place!

I booked this as a surprise getaway for my Husbands birthday. Don't be fooled at the size of this caboose, my husband is 6"4' 220lbs and fit! we stayed two wonderful evenings. Watched some football, played some board games, had a fire and enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. We would come back again.

My wife and I came up for a weekend getaway. If you are looking for a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of life. You will not regret staying in the caboose. The property is in a secluded location but close to local towns for anything you need. John was a great host and the caboose has everything you will need. Very clean and the bonus on a hot tub. We would recommend staying here to anyone and will definitely be back!

Very nice caboose, very unique opportunity to stay. Host was very thoughtful and great. Futon was ok to sleep on, hot tub was great. Everything was great for the weekend except it was dry so we couldnt have a campfire. Ladybug season too. But all worth while for the stay

Other than the unexpected 4 mile dirt road to this secluded location, EVERYTHING was exactly as described. It felt a bit like an RV but with the hot tub amenity and large plush towels. Communication with John, the owner was so prompt unlike any other VRBO owners ive dealt with. John is THE BEST. THANK YOU.

We had a great stay. The caboose is everything in the listing and more! The host thought of everything and had wine in the fridge for us upon arrival as well as some bottled water. Plenty of tea and coffee choices. Firewood for a fire and the hot tub was very nice. Would definitely recommend.

Really great and unique experience staying in a tiny house Caboose
John, this tiny house caboose exceeded our expectations. The caboose has everything you could possibly need and it was very clean. My wife and I enjoyed everything about it...and the hot tub was great. Thank you for the welcoming gift...the coffee shop was great!. My wife and I were looking for a getaway that had a hot tub and was pet friendly to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were so excited to discover this gem! Our stay at the caboose with our dog Jack was pure joy! You can feel how special this place is when you arrive. The caboose is so unique, you can see the love and craftsmanship that was put into it. We enjoyed hot tubing each evening in the screen in porch after a beautiful day of hiking. Our dog Jack joined us in the porch looking at wildlife…it was perfect! The caboose had everything we needed and was so comfortable. John was an excellent host! Made us feel right at home. We are already planning a return trip next year!!

My wife and i had a wonderful tim at the caboose! John is an outstanding host and whether it was the wine in the fridge or the directions to the trout stream he was beyond helpful.
