Liked: Cleanliness
Stayed overnight while visiting Yosemite. Very convenient to the south entrance at Mariposa Grove. Our room was lovely with cathedral ceiling and an attached private deck. On site shopping for conveniences. Restaurant had a limited menu but adequate. Beautiful old, carved wood, stone fireplaces gave a very cozy vibe. Grounds included an authentic older firetruck you could explore and learn more about. Overall a good experience.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The property is well located though has a limited food options. The room floor, bed sheets were dirty. Restaurant opens in evening only.
The room didn’t smell fresh. The AC didn’t work. It smelled when we tried to turn on AC to help with air circulation. The place is not worth the price.
This hotel is on the edge of the park and is very convenient. The views from the property are awesome and the rooms have a balcony so you can look out on the woods and other areas. There are some trails on the property that are easily walkable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was well apportioned and had a really nice shower but that said it could use a bit of an upgrade with some fresh paint and some clean up along the trails which had some litter that looks like an animal dragged it. There is a pool which was closed for the season. This is a family owned property and they have a personal investment in the facilities that shows.
If you like cold showers this is the place for you
The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. We didn't have any hot water in the shower or bathroom sink each night. There were dirty handprints on the bathroom door.
On the plus side, the property was quiet and close to the South Gate of Yosemite.
It felt peaceful and quiet. The staff gave us a room away for others for my husbands birthday. We will be returning to this rustic charming hotel! Thank you to the staff for accommodating us.
It's a great place to stay, especially if you are looking for low key, local owned. Staff is great, restaurants staff very friendly and the food is delicious - especially the fish tacos! It's walking distance to the antique steam engine train, close to the park entrance as well as Bass Lake.
A very unique place to stay. It was built in 1939 and has been renovated but still has that unique quality about the past. Dining was outstanding. Walking distance to the steam railway ride which was a lot of fun.
Super cute and comfortable, could have done with better storage/ surface area?
Shame the restaurant wasn’t open?
Gorgeous and well kept otherwise! Great location and price!
