After our stay, I looked at some of the other reviews and, to be honest, I was surprised. This is a hotel that runs under $130 a night with breakfast included. You have to keep your expectations realistic. You get what you pay for — and in this case, you actually get more. Some folks just don’t seem to understand that. If you’re looking for something “over the top,” then go spend the extra money somewhere else. For the price point, this place more than delivers. Don’t disparage something you don’t fully understand — sometimes you’ve got to appreciate good value when you see it.
We stayed at the Park Inn in Florence, South Carolina after being on the road for half the day, and honestly, it was just what we needed. The lobby was clean and welcoming, and the room was large, spotless, and smelled amazing — not that stale hotel smell you sometimes get. Everything was neat, fresh, and comfortable. The TV was huge, the Wi-Fi worked great, and we could finally just relax.
Breakfast was way better than expected — waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, plenty of coffee — everything hot and fresh. For the price, it was more than fair and definitely better than what we’ve had at other places lately.
But what really stood out was Daniel at the front desk. That man was an absolute gem — friendly, funny, and just easy to talk to. The kind of person you instantly like and could sit down and laugh with. People like him are rare these days, and I truly believe he made our whole stay better!
