What a scam. Paid for this hotel booking upfront including for free cancellation. I turned up early evening and the hotel said my booking had been cancelled. In my follow up calls to Expedia they told me twice The Social Hub had cancelled my paid for booking because they were over booked

I knew nothing about the Social Hub concept before booking. It was not what I expected. But it has much to recommend it. Not only do they create a space that is inviting for people to meet and socialize, they go above and beyond and create events designed to encourage connections. This place has a great energy. Lots of young people. Very dynamic space. But this is not a hotel for people looking for a traditional quiet hotel room. It is on a busy traffic circle. Lots of sirens in the night and honking in the morning. And the Italians are not shy about honking. Overall I would recommend this place because it has such a unique energy that it is worth the experience. If I was 30 years younger, it would be my absolute go to spot in Florence. Kudos to the staff who make this place so unique.

We stayed for 4 nights during our trip to Florence and would have no doubts about staying here again should we return to Florence in the future. Check in/ reception staff were really friendly and attentive. We had breakfast included in our stay and would definitely recommend this when booking- loads of options and still well stocked even when we went down late. The room was simple but clean and had everything we needed (new towels each day etc). The hotel has a really good vibe/ atmosphere- it is part student accommodation however, I would hazard a guess that the majority of students who do stay here are either postgrad or on a semester abroad (nothing like 18 year olds gone wild). Location was great too: 10 minute walk from station, 15 from Mercato Centrale, 20 from the Duomo. If you’re familiar with The Hoxton chain of hotels this felt like its trendy younger sibling who’s studying abroad- cool aesthetic, buzzy atmosphere and good amenities (roof top pool/ tattoo studio pop up/ co working space/ juice bar) but still laid back, simple and welcoming.

The hotel was modern and lovely it being more boarding for foreign students it was to be expected that it felt more like a dorm. The only really complaint was the bed…. Super super hard

First Timer
This is my first time experiencing a hotel that integrates a coworking space and had a great time. It creates an environment to befriend others, while being conveniently near all the tourist attractions. The room itself was specious and comfortable. I would definitely return if I make another trip back to Florence.

Great base, outside of the ZTL!
Great staff, friendly & informative. Great gym. Lovely place to start and end the day. The app didn’t work for either of us so that made some things difficult or impossible, such as use of the laundry. Mostly Americans and students so if you’re looking for an authentic Italian place this isn’t for you.

Good location, just outside of the historic downtown core and limited traffic zone (ZTL) so it is possible to rent a car and find street parking nearby. Hotel is new with good amenities including a pool on the roof deck with an amazing view of the duomo.

Perfect place if you’re in your 20s or early 30s. Fun, quirky, modern with very friendly staff. That said, the room was modern and cool but TINY. Couldn’t open more than one suitcase at a time because the entire room was basically the bed. Shower was the smallest I’ve ever been in at about 2ft by 2ft. Had to T-Rex shower. Breakfast wasn’t great and coffee machine wasn’t working. All that said though, hotel was overall a really cool place and within walking distance of city center with all the shopping and central market. Cool place if you’re younger…older ppl like us need a bit more space!
