Sitting 80 kilometres to the southeast, Chiaia di Rose Beach is a fabulous spot to while away an afternoon picnicking on the shore. Cartaromana Beach is also home to some pleasant scenery. You'll find this enticing stretch of coastline 80 kilometres to the southeast.

Take a deep breath and appreciate the natural surroundings of Circeo National Park. It sits 30 kilometres away from Fondi. You'll also discover some peace and quiet at Terme Varroniane, 40 kilometres away.

This area has a number of captivating historical places, such as Fondi Baronial Castle and Acquaviva. A visit to either will be sure to have your imagination soaring back to another time.

Whatever your faith, you're sure to be enchanted by the tranquil aura of Abbey of St. Magnus.

Leave a cloud of white powder in your wake as you rocket down the trails at Campitello Matese Ski Resort. True powder hounds will also want to make the trip to Forca d'Acero Ski Area.

Venture further afield and see what's happening in Monte San Biagio, 5 kilometres to the northwest. Plenty of travellers come here for the Tempio di Giove Anxur and the Base 41 Beach Club & Sail. Alternatively, Sperlonga is 9 kilometres to the south of Fondi. Head to this place for easy access to Villa di Tiberio and the National Archaeological Museum of Sperlonga.

Whether it's for a bit of shopping or to explore the sights, locals and visitors alike often make the journey to Gaeta, 19 kilometres to the southeast. Duomo di Gaeta, Monte Orlando and Serapo Beach are close by. That said, make sure you don't pass up Ariana Beach and Turk's Cave either.
