The property is great for families. My only complaint is that there is no day rate for late check outs. We don't depart until 7pm and late checkout is 12pm.

Close to Dania Point mall for shopping, although the walk is a bit tough due to the traffic but there are sidewalks. The pull out couch mattress was a bit thin. Shuttle from the airport was convenient, and there was one to the cruise terminal however we did not use it. Great for the day before a cruise.

Hotel was ok for a quick 2-night stay before heading out for a cruise. Lots of shuttle options show up on the morning of our cruise and available to head over to Port Everglades and Port of Miami. Free shuttle from the Fort Lauderdale airport was great. The room was very big, a 2-bedroom suite. However, the sheets and pillows did not seem that clean / fresh. Water pressure was good and the included morning breakfast was great. You seemingly have to walk a bit in either direction to find food, shopping, or a drug store, but it is what it is.

Staying here before we set sail tomorrow on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Chose Home 2 Suites for their great breakfasts. They do have shuttle service to the port for a fee. It is walkable to Dania Pointe.
