Not the Worst hotel I have stayed in

Not the worst hotel I have stayed in but not great either. The whole place is dark. The lighting is just awful and it’s noticeable from the minute you walk in. It looks worn down and old. The bathrooms are small but I like that the sink and mirror are separate from the toilet and shower. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room, overall was fairly clean. The bathroom floor was left kind of dirty in our room.

The carpet was filthy everywhere, dirty chairs with stains, crawling insects. I went down to reception to report this but the person never came out, the security said they will be there soon and I waited and not one came or call. Smelly room, false advertising on website, what you see is not what you receive. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for work. Needed somewhere quiet with a warm bed. Property was run down, dingy, and a little smelly. Was quiet except the first night when someone was ding dong ditching all the doors. Bathrooms EXTREMELY small but workable. Many of the doors you could see did not close well, large gaps where you could see inside other rooms. Good enough but nothing fancy.

There were two roaches in my room. I saw one on Saturday and one on Sunday. There was a cigarette burn on the comforter. There was two hairs in one of the washcloths.

My friend and I booked this hotel based on its amenities. After arriving at the location and checking into our room, we found the room stunk of what was most likely mold from the air conditioner. The desk staff were not friendly at all. There was also dirty hand prints on the back of the bathroom door etc. This was not something we complained about at the time, as we were just going to let it go. After asking about the pool hours, they told us the pool was broken. This was upsetting as we knew the weather was not going to be great, and the beaches would be windy and unusable but at least we could sit at the pool. We expressed our disappointment and reiterated that we booked this place specifically due to how nice the pool looked and asked if we could have a discount. The person at the front desk said they could not do that. The next day we overheard the person at the counter stating they would discount another customer who was there. We asked again for a discount and the hotel again said it wasn't possible. I did let them know we wanted a discount when they asked how the stay was through their text portal. They assured us they would send out request to the appropriate department. We did not hear back and have not yet to this day. I did reach out to Expedia this week to see if they could help, and they were not able to get the hotel to provide a discount. I understand it's not Expedia's fault but the hotels.
