Check in went well. Room seemed okay, nothing fancy but should be okay for our two day stay. Went to close the window curtains and one fell down and hit me on the head. Okay, things happen. Reported it to the front desk. Was never repaired while we were there. Bed was comfortable. The shower barely functioned. The jets must have been totally clogged as water only sprayed out of several ports. Made for a tough shower to say the least. Reported that to the front desk twice and it was finally replaced. All was good with that. Tried to use the hot tub before I went to bed the first night and there were so many ants running around the rim of the hot tub and ground, that wasn’t going to happen. The pool was dirty and cold. We spent a fair amount of time at the pool enjoying the Florida sun. The ants were mostly gone during the day, thank God. At no time did anyone from the hotel clean the pool or test the water to make sure the proper ratio of chemicals were in the water for users safety. Lastly, the room was not cleaned on day one. Questioned why and was told that you need to request to have it done. Fair enough. I requested and it still didn’t happen. I really didn’t care about having it done, just needed fresh towels to actually take a shower with a shower head that works. Multiple requests and finally received two fresh towels. I don’t understand how this place received all of the wonderful ratings. Can’t see myself staying at this hotel in the future.
