Named Peaceful Hideaway Treehouse, this treehouse offers a peaceful hideaway on the private 14+ acre Haven of Hope retreat near Little River Canyon National Preserve. Explore waterfalls, parks, shops, and restaurants. Relax by the fireplace with a cup of coffee and enjoy views through a canopy of trees. Deer and turkeys are spotted often near the creek! There are two easy walking trails near this cabin - each perfect for picnics on the ground and access to a swing-for-two in the woods! One trail leads to a rippling brook that runs through the property. Renew, refresh, and be restored!
Not long after you turn onto the private road (one-lane-only so descending/exiting vehicles should yield to incoming/ascending vehicles and back up until there is space to pass) that winds through the 14+ acre retreat called Haven of Hope, you will pass Serenity Escape Treehouse on your right (also available - sleeps 6). You will then pass two walking trails - Rippling Brook Walking Trail on left and Lost and Found Walking Trail on right. You will then see Peaceful Hideaway Treehouse on your left and your private driveaway and parking area. 2 CARS MAX. A smaller car can park directly underneath the treehouse. Don't block the main private road, because Happy Glamper RV (also available - sleeps 2) and the homeowner's cabin is located at the end of the private road at the top of the mountain.
Beside the parking area, there are stairs leading up to the Treehouse entrance from the parking area and a wooden bridge leading to more beautiful scenes of nature. When you enter the Treehouse, you will know your peaceful retreat has begun as you are surrounded by that familiar knotty pine wood on each wall. From every window on each of the two stories, you will see refreshing views through a canopy of trees.
A primary bedroom on the main floor boasts beautiful window views. There is an electric fireplace, as well as a small Roku TV in the corner. There are also 2 chairs in the room that may be added to the dining space when there are 6 guests. For the bed, there is a 12" queen memory foam mattress and new, quilted bedding for your rest and relaxation, and an extra blanket, vacuum and box fan can be found in the closet.
A bathroom is directly across the hall from the main bedroom with a full tub/shower combo and a double-sink vanity. There is a frosted window to provide privacy while allowing for plenty of daylight. There is a stackable washer/dryer and fold-out ironing board with iron available in the bathroom for your convenience.
Moving into the main living area, you will appreciate the sight of two leather sofas, both with recliners at each end. There is plenty of room for your family to enjoy this space. There are board games, puzzles, books, and reading information about Lookout Mountain in Alabama. On cool mornings, you will enjoy the gas log fireplace that is thermostat-controlled. For movie nights in, there is a flat screen 55" HD Roku television so you can stream your own favorite subscriptions also.
Directly next to the living room area is the dining area. There is comfortable seating for up to six. There is a beautiful handmade charcuterie board in the center of that table that you are welcomed to utilize during your retreat if you'd like. Two additional dining chairs are kept in the primary bedroom, and an additional extension leaf for the table is on a shelf in the bedroom closet if needed (as well as a portable high chair).
From the dining area, look out through the glass-paned double doors to the covered balcony area. There is a gas grill for your grilling needs, and BBQ tools are kept in a kitchen drawer. On the balcony, you will enjoy capturing scenes of nature from the height of the treehouse. Native plants and a variety of wildlife can be seen in the morning as you enjoy that first cup of coffee. Listen close for the footsteps of deer going to and coming from the rippling brook that flows close to this treehouse cabin.
Close to the Treehouse, you will notice a brick fire pit designed with your retreat in mind. Take the private road to the top of the hill (owner’s home away from home), and feel free to take some chopped firewood as needed so that your family can make s’more memories. Extendable roasters are located in a kitchen drawer for your convenience and “Rim of the Canyon Café and General Store” is less than 2 miles from the property and has s’more supplies and lots of other goodies for your retreat! Close to the fire pit, there is a picnic table for outdoor dining enjoyment. There is also a double hammock for even more relaxation opportunities while you retreat with us!
Back in the Treehouse, you will find a well-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, blender, cooking pots, can opener, pans and utensils, dishes, drinking glasses, eating utensils, cooking spices, coffee mugs, and more. Our hope is that your retreat at the Treehouse will provide you with welcoming home-away-from-home vibes.
In the living area, there is a beautiful, wooden spiral staircase leading up to the loft bedroom. There is a small desk and office chair if a designated workspace is required, and Wi-Fi is available. There are two queen beds with 10" Dreamer, memory foam mattresses serve to help every guest rest well. There is also a cozy reading nook with a twin size, memory foam mattress, soft bedding, and a remote-controlled reading light. A half bathroom adjoins the loft bedroom, with a sink and toilet. Through the loft windows, be sure to check out the breathtaking views from even greater heights :)
