SPECIAL: Sign a contract before July 1, 2024 and receive a $100 gift card to your restaurant of choice on popular Magnolia Avenue!
Historic 1910 cottage located in the popular and very active Fairmount National Historic District within walking distance of hospitals, restaurants, bars, coffee houses, and shopping and less than 10 minutes from downtown Fort Worth. Situated near the intersection of 8th Avenue and W Allen Avenue, Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center is only a 3-minute drive or a 9-minute walk from this convenient location. You can also walk or bike to Finn Mac Cool's Pub or any of the great restaurants and shops on Magnolia Avenue.
The cottage sits privately at the rear of the property behind the main house and has original restored hardwood floors, a beautiful porcelain farm sink, W/D, tankless water heater, dual mini-split heating cooling, gas stove, fully equipped kitchen, and heated floors in the bathroom complete with a timed thermostat. There is plenty of storage including a walk-in closet, shelves, and a single private off-street parking space. The house is furnished with locally made A Brandt Ranch Oak furniture and features a queen-sized white iron bed in the bedroom. The cottage has been completely renovated and has everything ready for you to unpack your suitcase and feel right at home.
The cottage was featured on Fairmount's Tour of Historic Homes in 2022 as the in-progress house. Comments included that it was one of the coziest spaces they had visited and they didn't want to leave. I know you will enjoy your time here.
** The main house on the property is undergoing restoration! The Naylor-Moses house turned 114 in 2024 and is currently undergoing restoration and is a contributing historic property to the Fairmount National Historic District. The house has two apartments and we look forward to hosting you there soon. We hope you will enjoy watching our progress during your cottage stay!
Fairmount is a front porch community. There is always something to do. Visit the Fairmount Community Library, start a plot in the Community Garden, enjoy a picnic in Fairmount Park, or stroll the beautiful tree-lined streets. Arts Fifth Avenue is centrally located within the neighborhood, where you can take a Yoga class, learn to tap dance, or attend a musical, all within walking distance. And, if you are lucky enough to be in Fairmount during December, watch out for Fairmount's Festivus -- it's for the rest of us!
