Excelente parador este, instalaciones muy cómodas habitaciones espaciosas, una vista muy bonita buena comida. Guadalupe es una localidad tranquila y poco para hacer, es un sitio para el descanso
Any hotel in the old town is difficult to drive to, including the Parador but it has good parking [important]. Its location within the town is perfect, right by the main square, restaurants/bars and the cathedral. It was quite pricey so we didn't eat there.
Very disappointing that the pool had shut for the season despite the temperature being mid thirties, and Merida and Orapesa Paradors pools still open.
Lovely area to dine outside and garden with view of monastery. Expensive breakfast.
As others have written this is a beautiful parador right across the street from the monastery. The food is excellent and there is a lovely outdoor pool and garden
Very nice place! Just a complaint about the restaurant, though service was excellent... the Bellota ham was from a vacuum package... in a place like Guadalupe in Extremadura they should have a real leg in the restaurant...

Mostly good experience w/some drawbacks
Although tasteful, the upholstered furniture had a musty smell. We did get upgraded to a room with a terrace, which was beautiful. It was close to the Real Monastery - amazing collection! Parking can be difficult.
Very charming. The walls are a bit thin, so we could hear the people in the room next to us. However, we understand that these old buildings were not designed to be hotel rooms. We still give it a big 5 regardless of that. We had another issue with the internet in our room, but they were very accomodating and they moved us to another room.
Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. In need of refurbishment especially the bathrooms

One night stay
In view of the age of the building the facilities and conditions dont compare to a modern hotel but that is the nature of many paradors.
We were in the original part of the property there is a later addition where the rooms may be slightly more expensive and have better views.
We did not eat at the Parador so cannot comment on that facility. There is a charge for parking but that is to be expected

Beautiful building. Our room had great historic details room 209. Location is across the street from the monastery. It even has parking. On the negative side they are under staffed and no menu in English.
Super hotel. We were asked at check-in if we wanted to upgrade our room. For €10 per night extra we had a room with a large balcony and view of the monastery and surrounding countryside. Amazing.

Great location, needs some updating
Right in centre, close to Monastery. Easy to find by car, follow North entrance to town fromEX 118, stay on this until you reach the main square, Parador is up to the right.Limited parking on site, small charge. Lift to reception very slow & check in a bit cumbersome. Room good with lovely terrace. Lots of good places to eat in town.
This Parador is a beautiful building and the rooms were very spacious. We had a balcony with a view of the mountains which was lovely.
We did have difficulty originally finding the Parador because we arrived at the weekend and the roads through the town are blocked off every Saturday and Sunday (would have been nice to know this beforehand).
The building itself is huge and it was quite common to find yourself wandering around looking for the way to your room, the swimming pool, or even the way out! (we met other people doing who were also lost in the building!). A little more direction from the staff in this regard might help.
Struggled with Wifi in the room.
