Worst experience ever!!!!
I had a very unpleasant experience with this hotel. I chose it because of its proximity to Sequoia National Park and made sure to book at least a month in advance. However, after completing a stargazing tour late at night, I arrived at the hotel around 12 AM and encountered a series of continuous inconveniences.
Firstly, there was no one at the reception. We called continuously for 20 minutes before a staff member finally opened the door. After presenting my confirmation, they informed us that they were overbooked and could not accommodate us, despite our valid confirmation and itinerary number. All of this happened at 1 AM. They explained that the hotel had been fully booked since noon and had no available rooms.
Incredibly, as they were telling us this, another family arrived and was promptly checked in. We were left shocked and confused. The receptionist claimed the hotel was fully booked since noon, yet they magically had a room available for this family.
Feeling helpless, we politely asked for assistance in finding available rooms at nearby Marriott hotels. The receptionist responded rudely, claiming not to know or be able to help. As our group frantically called nearby hotels, the receptionist refused to make any effort to assist us, displaying an uncooperative and rude attitude throughout.
Fortunately, we managed to find a hotel 40 minutes away from the Visalia hotel where we finally stayed the night.
