Lovely hotel. The pub restaurant was a highlight of our stay. Friendly servers and the food was delicious. The rooms were clean and had all the modern amenities with old time charm. We enjoyed our stay very much would definitely stay again.

I gave the hotel 3 stars due to elevator not working for our entire stay, 4 days. I was excited about breakfst, they used to have excellent choices, but not anymore. Tasteless eggs, bacon and orange juice mix from the bar. I beli e that rooms were remodeled 2 yrs ago but the hotel kept old furniture. Scrached, faded headboards and night stands. It looks shabby. On a positive side music at the restauramt was nice and lobby clean. I don't plan on booking there again. Sadly, the hotel is not what it used to be.

Loved the authentic Irish vibe in including the restaurant and pub. The included breakfast was very good. One thing to be aware of is the main floor (front-facing) looks out to unattractive view of parking lot.

Charming accommodations, and restaurant was good. The front desk staff was rude and unaccommodating. Every question we had it was presented as we were bothersome. Sad for quaint hotel vibe. Definitely not worth $350 a night. Air conditioning worked well in the room. Sofa was hard as a stone. But overall clean.

We loved the unique decor on the lobby floor, as well as the adjoining Irish pub. Staff members were helpful but happy to let you enjoy your privacy during your stay. We enjoyed live music and dinner at the pub, as well as the hot breakfast buffet. The room was quiet and the king-sized bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed tea time and coffee on the beautiful patio, and saw a deer while exploring the hiking trail. Short, convenient drive to downtown, and they provided a shuttle service from 11am-11pm as well. We would love to stay here again.

Nice play for a getaway
I stayed two nights here while visiting Galena...just a late-summer mini-vacation, The inn is interesting in terms of theme and furnishings. It's located next to the Best Western and is "just" at teh edge of town. The staff is helpful and there is a shuttle that you can arrange to have pick you up and take you to downtown Galena---and later return to take you back to the inn. The shuttle driver told me that "on some weekends" the town (pop 3500) has as many as 40,000 to 50,000 visitors"--hence the value of a shuttle. The traffic and "tourist load" was not nearly that intense the first weekend of August 2024 but still, the shuttle was a great thing to have.....I ate one meal at the "pub" that is onsite. Great food, great service....and I made use of the treadmill in the fitness center one evening. Hotel breakfast was good, with lots of the usual "hot breakfast" options. Beware of those scones! They are addicting.
