Excellent location.very high quality rooms at a decent price.

The Galle Fort Hotel is a truly lovely boutique property set within the walls of Galle Fort. We stayed in the Grand Apartment room which was gorgeous with fabulous furnishings. The Bar and lounge areas are both lovely and the pool, loved the tiling, was a must to cool off. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was great, wasn't keen on their coffee bean but other than that faultless. All of the Staff are lovely however Shalimar stood out he was always there when needed, extremely helpful and a great character.

Taru Villas was without doubt the best accommodation we stayed in on our recent visit to Sri Lanka. The poolside room was well furnished and air conditioned. The bathroom was roomy with a huge shower. Toiletries and hairdryer are provided too. The villa is beautifully furnished and you feel like you are a guest in a family home rather than a hotel. The breakfast was outstanding. Fresh fruit juice accompanied a plate of mixed tropical fruit, this was followed by your choice from the menu (the eggs florentine are amazing). Croissants and toast were washed down with coffee or tea. The staff are the most friendly and welcoming young men, they were incredibly kind and helpful. We were able to have a late checkout too. I would recommend Taru Villas to anyone visiting Galle.
