The Snug was small but comfortable and ideally located. The only issue was that we had rooms facing the street, making it impossible to sleep at night. The noise from the pub and street revellers went on past 2:30 am, only to be followed by kegs being dragged onto the street for morning pickup and early morning (before 7:00 am) deliveries and street cleaning. I am sure it is excellent if you do not get one of the rooms directly over the street. We are hardy travellers and don't get fussed over much, but I am telling you it was impossible to sleep.

This place is in a renovated 12th century (?) inn, so go in expecting smaller rooms, but they do it with such style and class it’s hard to not be absolutely impressed with this place! The staff is beyond helpful, super sweet, and you really can’t beat the location - within walking distance of everything. There is no parking on site bc it’s in the pedestrian area, but the Spanish arch parking garage is literally around the corner and the day rates are great. The bed is also massive, so plenty of room to relax when you get back from your days of exploration. Recommend static noise when you sleep if you are a light sleeper - they also provide ear plugs if that is more your thing. They also sell Irish plug converters that will fit all plugs except USB/Type C for €6 in the vending machines.

The Snug Townhouse was the perfect place to stay in Galway. As you step out the front door you are greeted by the Bronze Galway Girl. Restaurants, Pubs and shopping literally steps away. The staff had great recommendations for dinner places that were top notch! If you want to immerse yourself into the heart of Galway I would highly recommend this place!!!

It truly is a small space, but is very cute and efficient in the way it is designed. The staff were extremely friendly and flexible. Since it is located in a busy area, there is some measure of noise that transferred through the walls. Ear plugs were provided, but it is good to be aware of the noise should you be a light sleeper.

The Snug hotel was true to its name, our room was very compact, but clean and a comfortable bed for our one night stay in Galway. The location can’t be beat and the hotel staff was very helpful in providing recommendations for the local area. We didn’t have any issues with noise as other have mentioned. It does take a bit of rearranging to have two suitcases open at once as floor space is minimal but there is a space under the bed to keep one larger suitcase open at all times. Also, there is no elevator for those that would need one. It was 4 flights of stairs to our room, which was very manageable. Overall, for a short stay, this was a great place and we would definitely stay again.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST HOTEL I’ve ever stayed in Europe so far over the last 4 years. First time visiting Galway, the hotel is 13 mins walk from the train station, located literally right in the middle of every single pubs and restaurants you can imagine in centre of Galway, right next to the Spanish arch. The bar across The Quay’s, McDonnold fish and chips, Kings Head Pub, literally all of them in 2-5 mins walking distance it’s fantastic. All the other reviews about noise and live music till 1-2 am, it’s TOTALLY FINE! Why would you want to go to bed at midnight when you are staying in the HEART centre of Galway? You are on holiday, go listen to the live music, sing along your heart out, dance and have a few pints! Lovely check in staff and also hold luggage for free after check out. The hotel is so aesthetically pleasing and functional, tons space under the bed for luggage and by the bed there is kettle and tea coffee, hair dryer, hangers, POWERFUL SHOWER!!!

What a great place right down in the heart of the action. We loves the convenience of the location to the shopping, restaurants, and bars. it was nice and central so you could walk to he west side of Galway as well. The staff was friendly and check in was super quick and easy. The room was definitely SNUG but it was to be expected. The ear plugs were also a great touch being right in the middle of action. We didn't need to use them as we were so tired anyway. Great spot! We would totally visit again!

property is perfectly located in the Spanish Arch area of the old city. What I didn't like was the room was too small for two people; a bit noisy like motor running; and no where to refrigerate drinks or snacks. Felt the place was pricy without having these things available.

TINY clean and comfortable rooms

Friendly staff clean rooms. The room was tight for two people having to climb over one and other to get out to the bed and no other place to sit. Perfect spot for a solo traveler that only wants to sleep abs shower in the room.

The rooms are very small. Good for one traveler in a room, but we had two different rooms (the larger size price) and both had the bed surrounded by the wall on 3 sides so tough for a couple. The hotel is in the middle of the bar area - even on a Monday night in late September the music was loud like it was inside your room very late, so plan on using the earplugs they provide. But was clean and right in the middle of the tourist area.
