For one night stay was okay but encountered bugs in the room, which staff took care of it! Bathroom don’t have full covering door so water spills out in supposed to be dry area.
Booked a club room. First night it had a stinking smell in the bathroom and had to get the room changed.
The furnishings in the room were old.
The club rooms faces a narrow street and all you can see from the room is the building on the other side.
Services from the staff was just Ok - Housekeeping number would mostly go un-attended.
On the positive side, the manager was very responsive and proactive. Location is very good as it is very close to M G marg.
Overall, I found it to be a very ordinary and over-rated 3 start property.
Hotel is near MG marg. Winter green premium rooms have good view of mountain if weather is clear. Hotel has a lift which is very rare in Gangtok. Tamarind restaurant serves very delicious food, bit pricey but quality is worth it. And was served very well by Sajana in restaurant. Buffet breakfast is also nice and had decent variety during our 3 night stay.
Rooms were clean and amenities are decent for the price. Room has heater. Winter green premium rooms are huge sized. Bathroom is also big but could have been decorated better. Hot water in shower and wash basin takes lot of time in night. Day time , it is faster as more people are using it. Small glitch , otherwise no issues getting hot water.
Reception staff - Jyoti is nice and did quick check out.
Other staff - Sajid was very helpful. Special thanks to him. On our last day during check out , he helped us with our luggage as lift was under maintenance.
Would recommend everyone to stay in this hotel. Room amenities , cleanliness and food quality is very good. Proximity to MG marg makes it suitable for tourists. Though its a steep walk up from MG marg.
My family has enjoyed very much during our stay in The Fern Denzong, Gangtok. Starting from welcome drink to great buffet breakfast, food is awesome throughout the stay. The behaviour from staff is very helpful and polite.
