The coffee shop is delightful, their juice bar serves really fresh interesting juice blends, and their breakfast menu has something for everyone. The brewery is super chill, delicious beer, and the live music is always fun and rarely too crowded. The whole place is dog friendly!

Liked: oriented to active people. Solid breakfast cafe on site, nice beer garden for afternoons, close proximity to Lakeside beach. Disliked: pricey for a facility that shows this much wear and tear, hot tub was sketchy and parking is tight.

Overall I am not unsatisfied with the place, it's got a catchy name and theme and has potential to be great. I liked the clean, newly remodeled bathroom in our unit. What needs replacing is: the old stained grey carpet in the room, the squeaky, clunky ceiling fan that's only 7 feet high - don't raise your arms, you'll be an amputee, the tiny refrigerator's freezer box was frozen over so nothing would fit in it, my bedside lamp's light bulb was burned out, an easy fix but along with the fridge thing shows that the cleaning crew doesn't pay a lot attention to details, the outlet near the bed was not screwed in to the wall, also not a big thing, but combined with the hole in the ceiling around where the ceiling fan base is installed just screams of "we don't really care about the quality of our rooms" The location is fantastic, we loved the outside surroundings, the Beer Garden downstairs is charming and warm and there is plenty parking. I hope that they do some upgrades to rooms sometime soon and I would stay again.

we arrived to the hotel 15 min early and room wasnt ready yet and when it was ready we got a room on the third floor that the room card reader didnt work and we had to haul all our stuff upstairs with no elevator and we have a 8 month old baby and a 4 year old totally inconvenient. once we got another room we had to haul everything back down and walk accross the property to our room and parking is terrible

It’s an overpriced poorly maintained motel. Unclean and dingy. Don’t even know where to begin. stained curtains, broken toilet seat, old carpet, creaky beds, dusty ceiling fans.. the list goes on. I would never go there again. The front desk was friendly though and they did try to get our room cleaned multiple times but it’s just the way the motel is. I would never go there again.

Friendly staff, lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Room was clean. There’s a coffee shop and brewery on the property which is great. Brewery staff were rude (not the hotel’s fault). Downsides to the stay: AC unit didn’t work too well, and bed padding sagged a bunch.

This “hotel” was more of a glorified hostel. The one positive was the location to the Lakeside Beach and the $5 voucher to use for the beach you can get from the front desk. When researching places to stay, their competitors said that only one car was allowed per reservation and so when Basecamp didn’t have that listed, I thought we could have two cars parked on property. When I checked in, I learned that wasn’t the case and one of the cars had to be parked off-site, either in a street or in a casino garage. The front desk receptionists were not warm, welcoming, or understanding. The room was clean but dark with poor lighting. There was a weird window from the bathroom into the hallway which we kept closed. There was an automatic scent sprayer that I didn’t care for the smell. The area around Basecamp is full of other hotels, some pretty rough looking. Every night, the neighboring restaurant hosted a wedding so we could hear the music. Lastly, every night we were there (and at least a few nights before according to the other guests), a bear came down to tip over and go through the trash. This “hotel” may have a price tag that is less than other the other places, but I would suggest to not stay here if you want a quiet and comfortable trip.

Amazing hotel
This hotel was wonderful. We were there for the American century golf tournament at Edgewood. The hotel is on a perfect location! We were able to walk everywhere. We were arriving really late in the night and they have a wonderful late check in process. The coffee shop there has great coffee and breakfast items! Staff was always super nice! We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it! It has that perfect Lake Tahoe feel and atmosphere! Loved the outdoor space with the brewery!
