Great staff, good food and a great location to stay a couple of nights whilst exploring the NC500 and Applecross. Room was a little small and basic, but clean and comfortable place to stay.
Small room but fine for a night. Clean and comfortable stay. The food at the bar was lovely and the staff were fantastic! Great stop over when on the west coast
There was a flood in the bathroom under the floorboards told the lady at reception but not sure if she understood or was bothered also the light in the bedroom was shorting so didn't use for that night told the lady again but again not sure if she under stood.
My room in this roadside inn was nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and good shower. Its remote location gave a quiet night. The restaurant meals were excellent and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Really enjoyed our two nights here.
Sadly I was a little disappointed with this hotel .
The hotel itself seemed a little run down .
The room was ok. Large enough but with issues.
The double king bed was 2 singles pushed together which is sort of normal but not with 2 single duvet covers so my wife and I slept separately anyway so what was the point on pushing them together.
Luxury double I don't think so. Double the price of a premier Inn but half the hotel.
Another silly thing was the kettle is to large to fill in the sink properly.
One last thing. The breakfast was below average in my opinion.
Plus point is it's location on our route
Altguish inn was an unexpectedly nice stay that we experienced on out nc500 trip. The hotel is out of nowhere in the middle of the road with no attractions nearby. An old cute hotel. They have ample parking, and 1 slow electric charger in the carpark. The restaurant served good english breakfast. The sausages were amazing. The bar was good. The service was excellent. Now our room was also amazing with all necessary amenities. I would surely recommend the place for anyone travelling the route and needing a break.
Could be lovely but staff very unhelpful. Arrived to a freezing cold room and told that it just took time. Radiators old, didn’t heat the room and appeared to keep turning off, no control in individual rooms.
Food sub standard, smallest room ever to try get breakfast with everyone pushing and shoving for space. Food left as not cooked properly
Stopped here on our way to Skye Island and was very pleasently surprised. The room was clean, comfortable, and we loved that they had a restaurant on site. Would definitely stay here again.
