Great location- super dated- nasty carpet!
This property IS SUPER DATED- honestly could be original 1938 carpets. So gross and dirty. All rooms have very dark wood panel, old school asbestos style ceiling tile painted over, some rooms have other rooms looking onto private balconies (creepy). Location was good - pool had smokers outside so didnt even want kids to get in pool. Breakfast had nice country food selection, but overall this property needs a new owner to rennovate and update- stuck in time wrap. Shame, since such a great location.

Nostalgic Stay
The hotel was quaint. The desk clerks were very sweet and friendly. The room had a balcony with rocking chairs where you could sit and look at the mountains. The bed was super comfy. The only thing missing was a fridge. The location was excellent close to everything even a Walgreens. The breakfast was delicious a down home country sensation including grits! The hotel had various singers performing for entertainment. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a quiet and safe stay. One of my favorite things was that our room actually had a real door key! Not a plastic card!

Summer getaway
We had a getaway to Gatlinburg and stayed at this hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Service was consistent, and breakfast was excellent. I have to say that I prefer modern looking hotels. This one, as a historic hotel, may seem a bit outdated, but I think it will depend on your style. We chose it for being walking distance to many interest places. Overall very nice stay!

Old time charm
This hotel has the greatest location in Gatlinburg,TN. Gatlinburg Inn is located in the center of Gatlinburg. This made for easy walking distance to everything. Being the oldest hotel in Gatlinburg It had that, old time back in the day charm. (example=wood paneling). Rocking chairs line the front porch. A great way to relax and visit with other guests. The staff were amazing. Most had been there for years. Daily hot breakfast 5 stars. I highly recommend.

The rooms decor is old and the carpet in our room was really old, dingey and stained. That being said the staff was super nice and accomodating. The free breakfast was decent and the kication was perfect. Clean or replace the carpet and this would be 4 or 5 stars.

Disappointing
Another year at the Gatlinburg Inn in the books. This trip unlike our last 4 stays was just not up to par. In the 7 days that we were there our bathroom was cleaned just once I believe it was the 2nd day. Most days the room wasn’t cleaned until late afternoon. Needless to say we cleaned the bathroom and replenished the towels and TP ourselves. Other than that it was a good trip. We will be back!!!

Good and not so good
You can’t beat the location. It’s right in the middle of town. Sheets were clean, carpet and balcony were clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good! Live entertainment on the front porch was nice. But the layer of dust on many things, crumbs on the bench, and the bathroom just really wasn’t clean. Toothpaste still on the faucet, mirror and vanity..that wasn’t great.

Older Hotel but so much History! Breakfast was best I've had at a hotel in many years.the Staff was so friendly and helpful. Would like to see the hotel updated just a little more with mini fridges and microwaves but all in all very comfortable and the location was perfect. Will definitely stay here again!

We always like to stay here. The breakfast never disappoints. As to be expected in an old hotel, there are signs of old age, like the wood flooring creaks and slopes in some spots down the halls. The wood work in the room is old and worn looking, so if you’re looking for something modern, shiney, and updated with the latest gray decor, this isn’t it. It’s very charming and I feel like I’ve been transported back in time to the 1930’s !!! My husband is 81 years old and unable to walk much but we were able to walk to a few places to eat. I was disappointed that the trolley doesn’t come up that way and down the main strip anymore. But if you’re younger and able to walk up and down the strip, this is a good location, We will always come back and stay here when we are in the area again.

Wonderful place to stay

We loved being right in the middle of the parkway and walking distance from everything! Great Breakfast, plentiful and filling. Facility is well maintained except when you walk in the hallway the floor feels uneven and the way the ceiling is throughout is kinda creepy. I do wish that there could be 2 particular improvements to the rooms which is to add a mini fridge and the beds are as hard a rock! We enjoyed our stay for the most part but did not aleep well at all due to how hard the bed were.
