Great place to stay!
Great location walkable to many shops, restaurants, and the subway. We paid for a River view and loved it- worth the extra bit of charge in our opinion. We ate breakfast each day and it was good. Loved the made to order porridge. Beds were comfy. Room decor was nice. Staff is helpful. This was a great hotel.

Exceptional Service & Will Be Back
We were very impressed throughout our weekend stay at the Clayton. The room was lovely and very comforting and had a fantastic view. The rose petals and choice of champagne were very much appreciated, although the condensation of the ice bucket leaked onto the table, so perhaps a cloth or matt could be used in future. The ability to cast our own entertainment on the television was an excellent feature. The bathroom was also very nice and spacious, with a very very small amount of grime in the corner of the shower but this did not deter us from using it at all. We also had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and we were further impressed. There was a good selection for breakfast and it was very reasonably priced. Dinner was absolutely fantastic, very delicious, very timely, and good value for money. However, it must be said that the aspect of our stay that we appreciated the most were the staff. From start to finish they were very friendly, timely, efficient, and polite. Our dinner server, Sacha, was especially kind, charismatic, and accommodating. We adored our stay here and will absolutely return on our next visit to Glasgow.

Great hotel, close to main attractions of Glasgow. Room was large and very clean, with a nice view of the riverside. Great breakfast. One issue that the hotel could improve is acess to lifts: there are a few stairs up and down and you have to go through the bar to finally reach the lifts…

The restaurant staff are wonderful. Millena, Fraser and all the others were so friendly and helpful. The front desk staff on the other hand were unfriendly!! It would have been nice to have 2 chairs in the room. The rooms had no storage or luggage racks. Would not stay here again.

Not a bad stay, just a few tiny disappointments
I was really looking forward to staying in this hotel and had quite a few on a list that i was makinv a decision between but I decised to go with the Clayton. The hotel is on the whole was lovely and staff were friendly and helpful but our stay was let down by the room. The view from our window was an air conditioning unti which was our first disappointment. But then when it come to getting ready for the evening there was no where to do so. There was one long mirror behind tbe door to the room meaning I had to sit on the floor to do my hair and make up. The beds were comfy and room was clean so it was just those couple of disappointments. The area we stayed in is a little rough but perfectly located for the train station amd the hydro. We got the train to the Hydro for a concert and then walked back along the river after the show which took about 20 minutes.

Stylish, quality hotel in a great location
The Clayton is a stylish, comfortable, quality hotel perfectly located to explore Glasgow. The decor is gorgeous and the rooms immaculate. The breakfast buffet was good if you enjoy a quality full English. There was a nice selection of fruit and yoghurts but the continental spread was disappointing, especially the lack on nice bread/rolls. Great discounted parking rates.
