Being fenced in due to construction, hotel was very very dated. The carpet was old and smelled old. Room was clean. We arrived an hour or two prior to check in and was told the room was ready. We climbed the stairs as there was no elevator, only to find that the room was not ready. We stood in the corridor for about 20 minutes until the room was ready. Would not stay there again.

Lots of construction going but hotel itself was good. I’ve been there several times when working in the area and will continue to come back. A nice restaurant connected to it. Staff are friendly. It’s clean and safe.

Staff are very kind and friendly but the hotel needs an urgent update. The carpet is so dirty, the tv stand had so much dust, there was hair in the bedding, the floor is uneven and made lots of noise when you walked. It definetly needs a make over.

This is a historical building, it shows its age.

This is a historical building, it shows its age. The location can't be beat. It is definitely old school. The bed was clean and comfortable. Service was not great considering it was 4:10pm and having to check in at the attached pub, where it seamed like I disturbed the employees more than anything else.

Beautiful historic building. Lovely location. Not a great experience though in terms of a hotel stay. It was unclean, I did not receive any room services, toilet paper, fresh towels etc. even though I was there 4 days. The walls are paper thin, so with noisy neighbours I did not sleep. The staff are only present in the restaurant. Ownership has changed and everything has definitely gone down hill unfortunately. You don’t even get a coffee maker in the room.

We were told that the breakfast buffet was available from 9 am during the weekends but at the very last minute they informed us that it was not available until may.
