Cute Beach Shack located close to the Beach and Shops

Our little beach shack, in the iconic Goolwa weatherboard style is our little escape and hope to let other holiday makers come and enjoy.

Located a convenient hour from Adelaide, you can plan your surfing, golfing, fishing or relaxing stay at Daphne's Place, for either a fast getaway or longer stay.

Flooded with natural light, the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen will be the gathering place for up to 6-7 friends. our little shack is the ideal size for a family of 2 adults and up to 5 children, or a quiet getaway for up to 3 couples.

The three bedrooms offer a queen bed in the master, a double bed in the second bedroom and a double bed with a bunk above in the third.

***This is a fully self-catered holiday rental property. We recommend that you bring with you everything you need for the enjoyment of your holiday. Mattress protectors, quilts and quilt covers, pillows and pillow protectors are provided, but you are required to bring your own bedsheets, pillow cases, towels, bath mats and tea towels.***

The bathroom includes a walk in shower with a separate laundry and toilet.

There is a outdoor setting where guests can sit in the spacious backyard after coming home from the beach and enjoy a refreshing beverage or alternatively an undercover outdoor space with a pallet bar and BBQ to keep guests out of the sun or rain!

We hopefully haven't missed a thing when it comes to relaxing! The house includes TV with a chromecast, DVD player and plenty of DVDs for the family to watch, board games, a picnic set for guests that want to enjoy one of the beach, park or river locations that Goolwa has to offer. We don't however offer wifi as we plan to escape when we holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped for guests to self cater as well as having the convenience of a dishwasher. Don't forget your coffee beans for the espresso machine! The lounge area is air conditioned and all rooms have ceiling fans.

The beach is a 10min stroll from the front door, while the town center is just a relaxing 2.5km walk away. You can enjoy some of the amazing local hotspots like the "Kuti Shack" and the "Bombora on the River" without the need for a long drive.

We allow a quite gentle pet to come with you with restrictions of not allowed on the furniture, any poos in to be picked up and any damaged to our home to be notified straight away for repair.

Restful retreat
This is the second time we have stayed at Daphne’s and it won’t be the last. Affordable cosy holiday accommodation close to beach/ river/ township. We appreciated having our beloved family dog join us for our holiday and felt ok to leave her in the large secured yard.We reported a small maintenance issue and this was actioned immediately by the responsive friendly owner. Potential improvements include a larger, comfy sofa and outdoor pergola, but this did not detract from our stay

Fabulous Holiday in Goolwa
Stayed at Daphne's Place, in Goolwa. Was a wonderful clean house with so much extras. Lots of books, games and everything you could want on holiday. Hosts were wonderful kept in touch. Would recommend staying here.

The property had cute aesthetics and a cozy feel. We enjoyed fishing nearby during the day then hanging out in the house at night; snuggling up by the warm fire, cooking BBQs and enjoying the luxury of the dishwasher to end the day! Highly recommended 😊

Sam and Luke have done the property up really nicely. Lovely and fresh to walk into. Great back yard for travelling with pets as we were and if you had children. Nice walk to the beach all was very easy.

We had the best week at Daphne’s place. The house was impeccably clean, warm and cosy, and our children loved playing the board games and video games provided. The hosts were gracious and highly accommodating. We had such an amazing time and will without doubt be back!

Daphne's Place is a genuine beach shack experience with a good dose of comfort and affordability. We loved everything about our stay from start to finish: Prompt communication .... flexible arrival time ..... close to ammenities ..... nice back garden..... spotlessly clean. The open plan is perfect for cooking / chatting / tv watching. The master bed was sooooo comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. We loved the relaxed vibe of the shack in a quiet location of Goolwa Beach, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful birdsong in the area. Some minor improvements to the property could add to the comfort experience (eg larger lounge / outdoor deck / smaller mugs) ..... but even without these improvements we will definitely be back. Thanks for sharing your lovely place with the rest of us.

A delightful getaway
A cute spot with a comfortable, modern beach-themed feel throughout. Kitchenware was pretty much as-new, and the dishwasher is a game-changer! Everything just worked, and the collection of DVDs and books were better than we expected. Check in/out was seamless. A lovely place to get away for our wedding anniversary!

Daphne’s place was a great place to stay
Beautifully presented and clean, the decor and style was gorgeous. It had everything we needed for the stay, we were a family of 6 (4 teenagers) and sleeping was perfect, maybe just lacking a little room when we were all gathered to watch tv (possibly another beanbag could fix that) otherwise highly recommend. Luke was great to deal with and check-in /out was an easy process. Thanks again we would definitely rent again. ☺️

We had such a wonderful, relaxing stay at Daphne's place. Luke was exceptionally generous, flexible and accommodating. Great location, large secure backyard, comfortable house with everything you could possibly need. Would love to come back.
