La Maison du Bonheur is sutuated in in the heart of the beuatiful village of Gordes which is considered one of the prettiest villages in France - 'Les Plus Beaux Villages', and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Gordes is perched on top of a hillside around its historic castle.
Throughout history, the castle has protected its residents from foreign attacks, plagues, and World War II bombings. The views over the Luberon countryside are stunning, and the village itself is a warren of cobbled streets and ancient houses.

The House is uniqly positioned on the north-east side of the hill with unabstracted views over the valley below, which allows you to see the most beautiful sunrises. The sun rises from the Luberon valley filled with morning fog.
It is breathaking to watch.
The house was build in 18 century but it has been rebuilt and renovated several times after the war. The last renovations were finished in 2018.
It is a tipical provencial bastide made out of white limestone
La Maison du Bonheur, although being centuries old, has all the modern amenities and conviniences such as air conditionoing throughtpout the house, high speed fiber internet connection, 5 person jacuszzi, wifi all house speaker system, printer, etc.
You will be emerged in the embiance of Provence with its relaxed and laid back atmoshere while having all the conviniemces of the modern world.
The house has 3 stories and 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and sleeps 6 people which is perfect for a family stay or a friends get away.
Although it is situated in the heart of the village, the house is hidden in a private, secluded location, away from the bitten paths, but you are only minutes away by foot from the center of the village and all its atractions - restarants, le chateau, market, shops, etc.
It is often used by our guests as a "home base" from which they take day trips to other othractions they would like to visit in Provence, since a lot of them are only a short drive away: Avignon, Marsellie, Aix-en-Provance, Sant Remi are about 45 minutes away by car, just to name a few.
A couple highlights:
A natural open air theatre located above the house. in July and August you you are lucky to listen to clasical, jazz and opera performances just sitting on your terrace.
Next to the house there is a 6th century chappel which is a UNESCO heritage site
