Clean room, well designed, and helpful staff. The hotel is near the Alhambra but a walk from town and we didn’t see any restaurants nearby. The buffet breakfast for 20 euros was very good. Taxis were convenient and inexpensive. Parking is 25 euros. It’s a nice hotel.

The Aurea Washington Irving is a luxurious hotel. The rooms are exquisitely appointed from the bathroom amenities, the coffee and tea service and the bathroom which has a separate tub and bidet. The room was immaculately clean. The staff is incredibly attentive, multilingual and just a pleasure to deal with. The location is within walking distance to the entrance to the Alhambra and C30 and C32 shuttle buses stops are a few steps from the hotel. No parking at their property, but they use a car park and the valet will drive back and forth. It is just a gem.

Booked this to be close to the Alhambra. It is walking distance to town and also accessible via bus which conveniently stops outside the hotel. It’s a beautiful hotel, lots of amenities I didn’t use but wish I had time for. Shower space is a little smaller compared to the massive room and bathrooms. Staff are very nice and helpful.

We were in Granada mainly for a night tour, and the general visit the next day of the Alhambra, and we couldn’t have chosen a better property. It is just a 400m walk to the Puerta de la Justicía, which is nearest the Nasrid Palaces where entry is timed. It is about a 25 minute downhill walk to the cathedral, but going back is a bit of a struggle since it’s all uphill. However, you can take the C30 or C32 public transport for about the same travel time. All these information was shared to us by the front desk staff who are all very nice and welcoming. Áurea Washington Irving is a dream. The interior spaces are very tastefully done, the facilities are well-maintained, and our room 112 is clean and comfortable. The only downside is that there are no USB outlets, so you have to make sure you have an adapter to charge your gadgets. The Restaurante Garnata serves good food and service was excellent. I have to mention the awesome breakfast buffet spread also served here from 7:30am. We decided to walk for about 35 minutes to the Granada Train Station when we checked out, since it’s a downhill walk, and we had time to spare to see some other parts of the city on the way. All in all a wonderful stay!

Good stay in Granada.
The Aurea-Washington provided a great base for our short stay in Granada. I thought it might feel a little cold as part of a larger chain but it was lovely. Contemporary lines and fitout, and the room was a fair size (always a question with European hotel rooms which can be so tiny). Location is excellent being so close to the Alhambra; it is an easy walk down into the city, though at my age and level of fitness I preferred a bus back up the hill (or taxi). Though I managed to walk up twice in two days!
