6 of us are on a 2 week trip to the Grand Canyon. (all 4 points) The Squire is by far our favorite place of all those we stayed at. Great accommodations, helpful, knowledgeable staff, great location in town neat shops and restaurants and proximity to the Canyon entrance! Breakfast was not included though the buffet was $20 (ordering a la carte though is also almost $20) there is a kids price. The pool and hot (both indoor and outdoor) were well maintained and the ambiance was inviting. Every night they had s’mores at the many fire pits (free) there is a gym and laundry as well. They have 3 restaurants, though here they are lacking. The pub, though the food was ok…the service was awful and there was only one other table of people there. The main grill had great service and the food was OK. We all agree we would return here on our next visit and by far The Squire was the best choice of accommodations!

Beautiful large room with upgraded furnishings. One of the better breakfasts compared to other hotels. It was pretty expensive, but felt worth the money.

Room was in an old roadside motel . They painted and updated a few things but old switches didn’t work. Curtains had holes. . Air conditioning was extremely loud. We had a choice freezing cold or heat. We called and maintenance came. He said when we were cold to turn heat on and when hot turn cold on. We asked for extra blankets they never brought. . All night we complained and was told we would get some credit and they did not follow thru We spent 400.00 for room plus 60.00 resort fee. Place is dirty and way too expensive. What should have been a great stay totally spoilt by the breakfast staff. At 07:30 they run out of large breakfast plates and when I brought this to their attention I was told to use a fruit bowl for my hot food. I suggested that they bring some of the alternative rectangular plates only to be refused as they were for a la carte diners. I asked to speak to a manager, who agreed with our server, but said she would make an exception in our case. What sort of quality establishment, thinks it’s okay to suggest its customers eat their hot breakfast out of a fruit bowl, rather than simply for a short period of time use the alternative plate?
