The two-bedroom holiday home was only recently built and is a well-appointed rental with an open-concept floor plan complete with all of the modern amenities.
The breakfast bar defines the kitchen area where meals can be prepared on modern appliances. Featuring two large bedrooms, with one Jack and Jill bathroom, there is 1 King-sized bed and 2-Twin sized beds (that can be joined together to make a King-sized bed).
Imagine heading out from the villa – strolling along the nearby Bahamian beaches (such as Bita Bay) and taking a dip in the crystal-clear turquoise where dream holidays come true. Or you can take a 10- to 15-minute cart ride to town (New Plymouth) or head to White Sound to visit the resorts.
And, to top it off, you can grill your catch of the day and relax or read a book on the brand-new screened-in porch.
We need to make you aware that we are adding a new master bath pavilion onto Hanna House. It will not affect the inside of the home while you are here but there will be some work being done on site.
WELCOME TO HANNA HOUSE!
We are honored that you have chosen our home for your stay here on Green Turtle.

Lights:
The exterior lights are on an automatic timer, turning on at dusk and off at 11pm each day. If you would prefer to turn them off earlier, there is a switch in the hallway between the grill deck and the guest room. Simply push the 'exterior lights' button and they will turn off, coming back on the next night at dusk.
Interior lights: The switches are all labeled. The island lights and kitchen lights also have clickers so you can adjust the brightness as well as the tone of these lights.
Bedroom lights: The nightstand lights turn on and off via touch on the base of each lamp. They can be a bit finicky...so try tapping multiple times until they respond. There is also a light on the ceiling fan. Power to the fan is controlled by a labeled switch at the entrance to each bedroom, the fan and the light are then controlled by the remote fan control.
Bathroom mirror: This light is controlled via the wall switch "mirror". Then there are three buttons on the mirror. The left-hand switch allows you to adjust the brightness. The middle switch will de-fog the mirror if needed. The right-hand switch allows you to connect via Bluetooth to enjoy your music on the internal speakers. The device name is “ZORY-A2111”.
Water:
We collect rainwater and run it through a filtration system used by bottled water companies...so the water is pure! But...it is also limited to what falls from the sky. Please be very careful with water consumption. In the Bahamas, we say, "Here in the land of sun and fun, we don't flush for number one"...and we are very careful when showering...Get wet. Turn off the water. Lather up. Turn on the water to rinse and turn off the water. This will save a precious resource. Thank you!
Air Conditioning:
Each room in the house has an A/C with a clicker to control it. Electricity is very expensive in the Bahamas, so please use the A/C sparingly and please don’t set below 69 degrees. If you go out for the day, please turn off the A/C. When it is running, please be sure that all windows are closed. Each room also has a ceiling fan that can be used to increase cooling.
Garbage:
There is a large garbage bin below the entrance stairs on the ocean side of the house. Please deposit your trash into this bin and assure that the door is then latched.
Kitties:
We have two wonderful kitties who protect our property for us: a female, Momcat who has one clipped ear, and a male, her son, Mr. Pickles. They have a lovely accommodation below the house but may come to greet you. If you are cat people, enjoy! But please do not mistake their adoring stares for an indication that they should come inside. They are not allowed inside. They have an automatic feeder, toys, beds, and a 'kitty cam' that allows us to protect them.
