Very good

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The whole hotel is always dark, the internet and telephone conection didn't work. I felt so unsafe I almost left the hotel the first night. The street where it is located is dirty,
They put you a bracelet for "safety " for what? they don't even offer breakfst or anything.
I will never go back there. Expedia should Not sponsor that ugly hotel
I like the proximity of this hotel to shopping and museums.

Stolen property during our stay.
I reserved two rooms, When we arrived, they only had one room for all 5 of us. We had no choice but to sleep in one room. They would not accommodate us with the second room and charged us extra for the fifth person To stay in our room on a cot. I had some very expensive sunglasses stolen on the first day when the cot was delivered. On the second day, One pair of men’s leather patent shoes were also stolen. Even though we reported nothing was ever found or returned. The manager Jaime was not Very understanding on our arrival as we showed him on our phones that we had two rooms reserved. We asked to have our breakfast comped for the inconvenience. He replied with a “we cannot afford that”. I am not able to come anything because it was not our fault. It was Hotels.com fault. I asked Hotels.com to remove this hotel from the booking list.
Love the ambiance and history, convenient location to everything.

Guadalajara stay
Hotel was nice but wouldn’t stay again. The hotel is located near some clubs and bars so there was loud music till about midnight. The elevator was nice but old and unreliable. The mattress was very hard but luckily with 4 large winter blankets provided by the hotel, It was bearable. The bathroom had open windows which let mosquitos in. I woke up with bites on my arms hands and face.
I will say the place was clean. The staff was friendly and helped with my hard mattress solution. But there is a double tree and holiday in 2 blocks away. Should have stayed there.
It’s not my first time that I stayed here and I know them by now, they’re always friendly and treat me not as a client but as someone they see as regular since every year come twice.

Clean, quiet, perfe t location, friendly staff, very happy to have choosen this hotel
The property is beautiful and very centrally located, the staff is friendly and the areas around the property are safe and walkable distance for visitors who want to explore the city. The rooms need to be updated and the bathroom was below standard. There was mold and fungi growing from the walls and the bathtub was broken. There was also a funky smell coming from the bathroom almost like if there was some type of gas (sulfur) coming from the plumbing.
It was very special because it was recommended by a very special friend of mine. I was very happy that I stayed there, the bellmen were very helpful and nice.
