We stayed here with my parents (who grew up in this city) and my kids. The hotel accommodated two adjoining rooms for us, with river views. We loved the beautiful property, pool, spa area, modern touches. The staff members were exceptional. Because it's on an island, the only thing that was inaccessible was public transportation, but taxis are very easy to get and the staff is helpful with that.

This hotel is still one of the best hotels in Guangzhou! I like the windows view for the beautiful river, and the artistic design of the hallways and the center view of "Guxiang Shui" (Hometown Water Fall) view. But I didn't like the always-full sofa sitting area, and the floor services. The best memory gave me was that in the old days of 1980s, here the hotel has staff in the hallway to gard the gates and get everyting in order, such as direct the "Bai-Tan-E" taxi waiting area, and watch out any one who were not related to the hotels, and in the sitting area (much more seatings for our convenience, now other hotels are much worse, such as Garden Hotel - no any seating at all in the hall way!, not taxi outside, not people getting the taxi into the gate...), I wish this could be better in the future. thank you for your hospitality! from New York.
