Colombia's capital city, Bogota, lies around 80 kilometres to the southwest of Guateque.

You don't have to be stuck on the highway all day to see a bit of nature. Just 35 kilometres out of Guateque, Suesca Rocks is an excellent place to get some fresh air. More peaceful surrounds are waiting for you at Embalse del Guavio, 30 kilometres away.

We suggest getting in a car and making your way to Tilata. It's around 30 kilometres to the west and known for Suesca Church and Suesca Park.

Pozos Azules, Villa de Leyva Plaza Major and the Zoocriadero Ostrich Farm are all quite close to Villa de Leyva, 70 kilometres to the north. Need more excuses to swing by? The Paleontological Research Center and the 1900 Theme Park are not far away either.
