Strike the perfect balance between fun and relaxation at End of the Glen, the last house on the lane.
Unwind on the expansive deck, enjoy your meal at the indoor or outdoor dining table, take our beach gear out to the Russian River, play board games, foosball, use our WiFi to do some streaming, and cozy up to read a book or watch a movie in bed all in one stay at our lovingly cared for home.
We are a short drive away from Guerneville River Park, Johnson's Beach, Pee Wee's Mini Golf, Armstrong Redwoods, Guerneville's Main Street, and much more.
There is one hardwired Level 2 ChargePoint Home Flex Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) with a J1772 vehicle connection at our cabin.
By staying at End of the Glen, you agree to the House Rules, Additional Rules, and Sonoma County's Vacation Rental License Standards. You also acknowledge and accept the imperfections of our 70 year old river home which my wife and I have noted below.
You are likely to see squirrels, spiders, spider webs, birds, bugs, and other critters inside and outside the cabin at any point during your stay. We do not spray pesticides as each organism plays a part of the ecosystem which we respect.
The hot and cold water at our 70 year old cottage in the unincorporated town of Guerneville has a metallic/sulfuric smell, taste, and texture. To lessen it's impact, we have a three stage whole home filtration system, a two stage filter underneath the kitchen sink, and a filter at the refrigerator dispensing water; nonetheless, the taste and smell is still present.
The outdoor furniture may be covered to protect it from bird droppings, falling branches, pine needles, and leaves, which will likely appear on the hardwood deck's surface during your stay. You will have brooms, a web buster, and a leaf blower available for complimentary access. Cleaned objects and surfaces may have hard water stains. To avoid injury on the deck as wood cracks and nails rise (especially in our humidity), please wear shoes at all times.
House Rules
1. Only bring two cars or less. There is no street parking on our tiny canyon road. Park the larger car in the first parking spot as you arrive at our home. Park the second car next to the house between the generator and Korbel's "No Trespassing" sign at the further end of the home. Use the cones as parking guides to line up your vehicle. Allow plenty of room for large commercial vehicles to pass and make a three point turn in the clearing towards the forest past the property.
2. Guests must comply with Sonoma County leash law. Pets must be secured on the property at all times and cannot be left unattended. The main deck is not fenced off and pets must be leashed if outside at all times. Please clean pet paws and fur coats before coming inside, and try to keep pets off of the furniture directly (we have colored towels in the master bedroom which you are welcome to use to help your companion(s) get comfortable). You may find bowls in the washing machine's pedestal drawer. You are welcome to set up the baby gates to protect and enclose your pets as well.
3. We are in an area with a high risk of wildfires. Please do not smoke in our home. If smoking outside, please be extremely diligent not to allow ash to fall on or below the wooden deck, or in the flammable debris on the forest floor surrounding the home. Please dispose of cigarette responsibly.
4. Outdoor amplified sound and loud impulsive sounds, such as drumming, are prohibited.
5. Please minimize bringing bugs and dirt into the home by keeping doors closed and taking shoes off at the door.
