Great choice!
My husband and I booked two suites for ourselves and another couple. We loved our rooms, they were spacious and had wonderful city views of Porto. Easy access to the Douro and to the beach. We will stay here again!

This hotel may have been 5* 20 years ago but it's definitely not today. It's living on past reputation, which leads to disappointment. I had to get my room changed after the first night because it smelled of smoke, the bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom was dingy. Apart from the friendly staff, It was not what I expected and I wouldn't recommend.

The hotel is old and needs a refresh. The area is ok but you need to taxi/bus to get to nicer places to eat and explore. Some staff were very helpful but unfortunately, one in particular was not at all helpful. Don’t expect to get into your room before 3pm. Even then we had to Walt and didn’t receive any welcome or advice about the facilities. Very average!

Best Hotel in Porto
The whole experience from the moment we arrived to check in, cleanliness, reception team to the house keeping team was truly a wonderful experience . I have been to many 5 star hotels but nothing compare to this. Staff were very helpful, kind, Polite and always happy to help. Furthermore, breakfast was very delicious with choice of healthy options to yo choose from. The view was breathtaking where you can see the whole city, sunset and sunrise.

Wonderful hotel for a city break
The hotel is a short walk away from Casa de Musica tram stop, and there are also buses that go past it. It's nicely located a short journey from the tourist centre of town but far enough out that getting to the beaches and airport isn't a hassle. Our room was spacious and very clean. The towels were changed everyday (even though they didn't need to be (we hung them up on the rack to dry). We had swimming pool and gym access included in our room charge so we're able to swim everyday. We didn't have swimming caps but they were available for purchase from reception. The room was very warm and despite us leaving our spare card in and having Aircon set to maintain 18°C, the cleaner would often remove it. I guess it's a cost saving thing? The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a good variety. We had to leave before breakfast on our last day (early flight - that ended up being massively delayed) and when we mentioned this to the dining staff the day before they told us to tell reception and we could have breakfast boxes made up to take with us.
