Other reviews for this hotel seem overly good. Not sure if provided by real travelers or hotel employees. We travel a lot in China - for westerners, this hotel was "cute" but not particularly "awesome". BEWARE, bathrooms in some rooms are NOT private as described - ours was one. Entire bathroom open to rest of room. Other rooms only have a 2 ft wide band of frosted glass in toilet cubicle. Unless you are comfortable doing your business with your spouse/partner/travel mate right there with you, consider another hotel. Also, rooms are very small - no place to put luggage. Had to climb over it during 4 day stay. Our tub was not plumbed right, so it flooded the floor instead of draining. Beds in China can be VERY hard - ours was great, very comfortable. Clean and comfortable bedlinens, etc. Good fast wireless internet. ALL TV CHANNELS were in Chinese, no other options. Fantastic location right off West Street - very convenient. Some rooms might be noisy (facing street) ours was in back - very private and mostly quiet. Food in hotel lobby was tasty, but very slow, Service was kind and friendly. If you are in a hurry to go sightseeing in the mornings, eat somewhere else. Food prices were reasonable. Although a small thing, basically you are given enough TP for one day - not on a roll or anything. 2 out of 3 days had to ask for more TP. Pretty inconvenient. No Elevator - walked up 4 floors each time. Price was "OK". Recognizing warnings above, would recommend this hotel but understand it is NOT a standard western hotel,
