Surprisingly good given the rating and price. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, check-in was easy, and it was conveniently close to the train station.

The whole time we were there we never saw anyone, except the cleaning lady on the last day while we were leaving… when we checked in we had to talk ti someone in the intercom, that told us the combination to a key box that had our hotel entrance key and room key. It was a self-service hotel? Other than that the room was nice, clean, comfortable, but it was just strange to never see any employees…

Good value and close to train station
90s decor but clean and comfy and a big room for 3 of us. Let us leave baggage all day which was a real bonus. Very close to train station. Would use again.

Disappointing
It is very close to Hauptbahnhof, however a bit old and outdated, does not qualify to be rated 3 star or even 2 star. There is no elevator, carpets are stained and loose, bathroom has dirty caulking that is peeling off. And Wi-Fi is unsecured and compromised, my iPhone warned that there may be a monitoring and recording device on network, impersonating websites and stealing data. I couldn’t access internet.

Nice quiet hotel near train station stayed here over last few years when visiting germany. Clean simple room only negative is stages no elevator for heavy bags. Otherwise good value.

This was the only hotel left in Hamburg during a big convention. So they tripled the price, but at the end there was nothing else wrong with the hotel

This is a stereotypical cheap hotel. Tacky decor, a funky smell, flat pillows, and cheap shampoo. The night staff did not speak English. I could hear conversations happening in the lobby through my room door. However, on the positive side, the location was super close to the train station, I felt safe in the location, and a kind morning staff man helped me get my bag down the stairs. Overall, it's an OK place to stay and a good deal considering the location.

Another stay in Hamburg
The hotel is 5 mins walk from the the central station. My single room (9), top floor was without a lift, and was quite small and the hotel in general could do with a refurbishment. The bathroom towels were a bit tatty, although clean and fresh, the shower was good and worked well, compared to other hotels in the area. The room was noisy early morning due to busy traffic from the road and I could smell the traffic fumes which is a concern. Limited choice of breakfast; very nice coffee and the staff were extremely polite and welcoming. I would stay there again.

Nice stay in Hamburg
I liked my stay there (overall) - for the price they offer. However, if you are after a good (or hot) breakfast - you will need to find something else. This hotel is better than some other cheap hotels in the center area, as it is located on a quiet street (no gangs, prostitutes, drinkers). The lake and main station are a few min away and there is a direct train to the airport (make sure you are in 3 front carriages). The walls are thin - so it will be hard to sleep if someone is speaking in the next room. I liked that the water was hot and the water pressure was perfect. (suggest to bring your own conditioner) You must give a key to a receptionist every time you leave the hotel (that's strange - but this is a rule). WiFi was quite fast (on the third floor).

Small central Hotel - ok for short stay
Hotel ok, great location near Central Train Station. Ideal for short break.Breakfast adequate, pleasant staff. Stayed in August with husband & 2 kids((20 & 17). Wi-fi in room excellent, best we've ever experienced! Old hotel and room stifling hot with no aircon (had a stand-up fan that didn't really make a difference)
