I was refused service. had a reservation, check in was at 4. I showed up at 5:30 and was told a room was not ready yet, but he would text me when my room was ready, 15-20 minutes. I had tickets to a show and had to shower and get myself ready. 6:00 I return and watch as others are being checked in. I go to try to check in, but because the reservation was in my husband's name, he had to be there, even though it was my credit card used to secure reservation. My husband was meeting me at the venue, and he would not be to the hotel until afterthe show. So they refused to give me my room. I asked to just get a room at rack rate, because I really needed to get ready after traveling. I did not like their rack rate. So I left and booked a room at the lovely, clean and comfortable MicroTel. I missed the opening act of my show. Now I have to see how I can get my money back from Expedia, since there was no room available to me at published check in time. Staff was rude, and lying to me, since there seemed to be at least 3 rooms available to others as I sat there waiting for mine, only to be told that the room I paid for with my credit card, would not be given to me until he got there, after our show.
The place was off the main road, at the end of a road that had abandoned buildings on either side of the overgrown road. Turned out they did me a favor, but now I want my money back
