We stayed at the Bloc hotel for an overnight layover. It was very clean and the room was very cool with the purple lights. We stayed in one of the VIP rooms which had a decent enough view of the flight path and planes coming into the land but it didn't quite live up to our expectations from the photos we looked at beforehand. Perhaps a room on the otherwise would have been a better view? The hotel is very convenient though and it is located right inside the airport metres away from shops and food places which we used during our stay. The check in staff member could've been a bit friendlier but he got the job done.

The room is small, just enough space for the bed, bathroom, and a side table. Shower spray hits the toiler. But otherwise it was sparkling clean and extraordinarily convenient for folks arriving by plane and awaiting overnight for a flight out of Gatwick. Dining options nearby and with hotel discounts, but just basic eats at airport prices.

Needed to spend night for early international flight. This hotel is exactly what that is for. Tiny room. Luggage took up whole floor. Bed pushed up against wall. You have to climb over your bedmate to get out of bed. Shower is also the bathroom. Everything gets wet. I’m 70 years old. There is nothing more frightening to a 70 year old than a wet floor. Like I said, it is just a room to wait for a plane.

Lightning wasn’t the best and washroom/ shower had water on the floor so was a bit of a pain Hard to control the heat/cooling. Coffee was good albeit on a different floor
