Perfect place for skiing
We enjoyed a long weekend at this property. We were 13 minutes from Nubs Knob ski hill which was great. There were many options for dining out with a short drive. The house was spacious and very clean. Maria was very good with communication.

A great family retreat space
This was our second stay here and I'm sure it won't be the last. The house was extremely comfortable for our large group. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked most of our meals. The floor plan offers a great room for the family but also some quiet spaces. And we loved being able to bring our dogs along for the fun. Great location for both Harbor Springs and Petoskey.

Family Vacation
Our family is a family of 8 adults, 4 children (5-9), and 3 dogs ranging from 50-100 lbs. Usually, most properties will only allow you to bring two dogs and some of them require the dogs to be 50lbs or less. Finding a property that accommodates the dogs is our biggest hurdle. We found this property and emailed the owner about our situation. She was extremely accommodating and allowed us to bring the three dogs no problem. The house is as described and was very spacious for our family. It was nice having 3 1/2 baths and laundry rooms on both floors. The kitchen was well furnished and we had everything we needed. My only suggestion in the kitchen would be to purchase a new coffee pot. It was rather slow brewing and we made multiple pots a day. The backyard was also spacious and we spent most of our time out there. The play set, beach, and the bonfire pit was a big hit with the kids. The water is shallow well pass the dock which made it easy for the kids and dogs to get in and out with ease. We fished and the kids all caught their very first fish. Petoskey state park was a few minute drive and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there at the beach and walking the trails. We also visited downtown Petoskey and Mackinac Island which is a short drive from the house. Plenty of store and gas stations nearby to buy necessities. The location of the house was perfect for visiting all the up north destinations. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. It was great

Friends getaway
We were a group of 8 friends having a girl’s getaway. The house was beautiful and spacious and perfect for us! We only cooked breakfast, but it was stocked with everything we needed. The location couldn’t be better! We visited Harbor Springs, Petosky and Mackinac Island. Round Lake was clear and refreshing. Maria was very friendly and the communication was amazing! I highly recommend!

Great place for group with teens
We were 3 families with teenagers and this house was perfect!!!! Kids fished and swam. We were able to launch our kayaks and paddle boards from the shore. So beautiful. Four min drive to cute market and Petoskey State park. House is really beautiful with lots of space. Host was very responsive to few issues we had. We hope to stay here again!

Annual Family Vacation
This is our third year in this house which once again proved perfect for our family vacation. Wonderful lake, spacious house, some great restaurants nearby, plenty of food stores nearby, everything we needed for meal preparations, bedding, etc.; and plenty of room to "hide" if you needed some alone time. Peaceful retreat
This is our second stay on Round lake and first in this house. We love the area and the calmness of the lake. The house was very roomy and had plenty of space. The views from the deck were the best greeting each morning. Maria, the property manager was extremely responsive to the few questions we had which was really helpful.

12 person stay SUCCESS
My siblings and I brought our spouses and children - totaling 6 adults and 6 kids. We were more than comfortable with the space we had (we put 5 kids in the “bonus room” and ended up bringing an air mattress, only because we wanted the kids to all be together while the baby was in the bunk room). It’s a beautiful calm lake and near some fun Petosky attractions. This was our second time staying here; Maria is great to work with. I’d recommend this property!

Location delightful, house badly in need of care
The location and quietness of the property were delightful. The house is in need of much care. It had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, sinks were clogged and you had to find one that worked, none of the tv remotes had batteries in them so we had to go buy some, the door of the main bedroom was falling off its hinges and couldn't be used, the garbage disposal button stuck and I had to figure out where to unplug it to turn it off, garbage from several weeks was in the garage and the smell was in the back section of the house.(we talked the garbage guy into letting us bring out the extra bags since they didn't fit into any can), and many more similar items had issues. None of these things made us dislike our vacation, but we did have to do much work ourselves to make various aspects of the stay work. We've not encountered this before. This house needs someone in charge to stay in in and really see what needs fixing.

Beautiful house - Beautiful location!
This house and location were fabulous. All adults and one dog were very happy to spend time together on the lake kayaking and swimming. The house provided tons of space with two family rooms plus two offices for the two adults that needed to work remotely part time. The outdoor deck and view of the lake was a favorite gathering place with remote control awnings. Maria was very helpful when we needed her. We’ll be back…

Great family weekend!
My siblings and I chose this location for our annual trip - the property was home to 6 adults, 6 kids, and dogs. It was a beautiful place to be. The neighborhood is quiet, and the outdoor space was ideal for our kids to play, the adults to relax, and even our pets to take a dip in the lake! The property photos don’t do the place justice. The home is quite large, and more than accommodated our large party. We did find that we wished for some basic amenities- larger pots and pans, more sharp knives for food prep, lighter for bonfire, and blankets for nighttime sleep (beds were dressed with sheets and comforters). All of those were minimal criticisms for such an awesome weekend. Maria was great to work with, and our stay is one we will definitely remember!

The house was very comfortable and clean. It had space for all of us and storage for all of our winter gear. The owner was available for any questions we had, and when I did have an issue with something it was resolved immediately. We are thinking of renting the home for the summer!

The home and location are beautiful. Large first floor open floor plan ideal for our family gathering. We had 12 family members stay in the home, there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep, 3 full bathrooms and a 1/2 bathroom, beautiful main floor with gas fireplace, large table and large kitchen area. Gorgeous view of the lake from the main living space. The host was very kind and timely in her responses to all my questions. The home was clean and in good shape, only some stains on carpet, which the host informed us of prior to our stay. Excellent property.

Harbor Springs 2022
The property is lovely. The lake is nice but it was difficult for me to walk in. The bottom is rocky and muddy when you first get in. The kids didn't mind. They enjoyed the little sandy beach and fire pit. The house is big with plenty of bedrooms. The two problems we had were with the airconditioning. It was noisy and took a long time to cool down upstairs. Downstairs was always cool so we left that unit completely off. My daughter and her husband and their two kids slept in the room with the bunk beds. The bed in that room was so uncomfortable that they couldn't sleep in it. I thought they would have beach towels so I didn't bring any. Just know that you should bring your own beach towels. Plenty of dishes and cookware in the kitchen. No ammenities in kitchen so bring whatever you need to cook with. I was told that they cleaned the salt and pepper shakers after each visitor left and that there would be salt and pepper. This was not the case. The pepper grinder was empty and the salt shaker had a little salt in it that wouldn't come out. I did find small used ones in a cupboard that had a little in each of them. Overall it was a great cottage for a large group of people.

Fabulous family week on the lake
The property worked out great for our family. Less than 30 minutes to the Walloon Lake Inn and the Vintage Chophouse which were two of our dinners. Vernale's was just around the corner, as was a great market Toski's. The lake and the house were great. The only negative was the goose poop in the lawn. Picking up the poop required some time every day.

Great location and beach
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location was great with close proximity to Petoskey, Bay Harbor, and Harbor Springs. Every year my family rents over Independence Day weekend, and this was the best location that we have stayed! We were in the middle of all of our favorite golf courses and restaurants. We loved the beach and play set on the property. We appreciated the gated deck so that we did not have to worry about our little ones running into the lake. We also enjoyed the retractable awning that gave us some shade from the hot afternoon sun. The outdoor amenities were truly great. The reason my family gave this property 4 stars is because it is a little worn-in. The mattresses are not very comfortable and some of them do not have mattress protectors. Additionally, there were not enough pillows provided (expected 2 per person). Although the decorative pillows are nice, they should not be used for sleeping on. There were stains on the carpet, the hardwood floors had visible wear, one of the chairs in the family room had a broken leg, the wallpaper in the upstairs bathroom was coming down and had crayon on it, and the overhead fan did not work in one of the bedrooms. We paid a lot of money for this property and were hoping for it to be in a little better shape. With all of that said, I do think this is still a great place to stay that is very family friendly. With a little updating, this place could really be a top of the line property. Lastly, Maria was very prompt in her communication and gave great recommendations on where to eat and what to do. Family Vacation
Stayed here for a family vacation with the grandparents and my sister's family. Had 3 kids under 3, two of them under a year. The house had enough space to accommodate the kids different nap and sleeping arrangements while also allow the parents to have thier own space. The outdoor space was nice and the location was great with short drives to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and several wineries.
