A nature lover’s paradise!
We love love loved our stay at Christiane and Volker’s beautiful, hand crafted and spacious log cabin! The property is peaceful and private and the back porch overlooks a nature filled field with horses and great sunrise views in the morning and Milky Way galaxy views at night! We enjoyed walking the gorgeous treed paths and visiting their 2 sheep along the way. The fall colors in the area are spectacular and we highly recommend visiting Canning and the Scott’s bay look off, and Cape Blomidon provincial park, about an hour drive away. We didn’t have great cell service in the area but the wifi in the cabin worked great for us. The cabin was clean and comfortable with the 2 bedrooms on the first floor and a nice living room/tv and extra twin bed in the area upstairs. We highly recommended this place and would definitely book again!!

Visiting relatives
The cabin was very clean! The only source of heat is a wood stove which temperatures in October are not too cold so it was fine. Internet was great as well as wifi. Parking is very tight and not real close to cabin door so you have to take your luggage and supplies across the lawn and not any parking for more then one vehicle but very very quiet spot!! Beds were very comfortable. Had a relaxing stay.

Very impressive log cabin. Quiet location, very private. My only thought would be to add a curtain or blind in the bathroom for additional privacy.

A Beautiful Getaway
Nova Scotia is full of natural beauty and this amazing log home sits right in the middle of a lovely part of the province. Close to the shore and village of Harbourville, this spacious home is nestled in a quiet, private meadow. Look up at the stars at night and be amazed! The home is nicely equipped and comfortable. Sleeping there is like sleeping on a cloud - restful and recharging. My dog loved exploring the area... as did I.

Great place to unwind
Im fussy so Im not sure if this is relevant. my pros and cons. PROS.... lovely log cabin clean and bright the owners/hosts were wonderful and any request we made they jumped right on it. the beds were very comfortable, and the area was oh so quiet. MY CONS.. no oven, microwave or full size fridge or propane BBQ we dont eat out alot the prices are crazy and I enjoy cooking even on vacation outside watching the sunset we sometimes pickup some premade meals to heat up when we get back to the cabin and just relax. there is not alot of choices in restaurants close by (there is a lovely fast food place at the pier. great fish and chips) that may not be everyones CONS.. but mine otherwise it was a great place to stay and we used it for a base as we travelled out daily to visit friends or family and see the sites... We would stay again if going back to that area.

Beautiful log cabin, bare essentials
The cabin is gorgeous, inside. Amazing workmanship. It is located on a dirt road. The parking spot is very small and not close to the cabin at all, so you must carry bags a distance to the cabin. The exterior needs some attention. It had not been mowed when we arrived, everything was overgrown. Amenities are very basic, you will need everything if you plan to cook. Salt and pepper were provided, that was it. The fridge is what you would find in a hotel room. Bedding and towels were basic and worn. No washclothes. Water pressure in the shower was great! The only heat source is a wood stove. Sitting on the porch in the morning was glorious, so many songbirds, and the horses were fun to watch. Very peaceful. Harbourville is a hidden gem, like having a private beach. The little store and restaurant is a treat!

Great Little Getaway Cabin
This beautifully crafted rustic log cabin has all you need to get away from it all for a few days. It has ample room for 6. A very comfy well appointed loft, for lounging and reading or watching TV. The kitchen is well stocked with the basics for cooking. A short 10 to 15 min. drive to Berwick or Greenwood, and just a few short min. to Harbourville fish market and the beautiful sights of the Bay of Fundy.

It was our first time to Nova Scotia, and our cabin was a perfect place to stay. We did do a lot of driving, from whale watching on Brier Island, to spending a day in Halifax, but the cabin was a wonderful place to come back to every afternoon or evening for our home cooked meal and a place to relax. We loved the seclusion and quiet. The cabin was clean, spacious, and comfortable.

The log cabin was great place to rest and unwind. Just a few things that could be improved on wish I knew that I knew that there was only bar fridge took ice cream had know where to keep it. Also with having a 20 month old with us the floor had mouse droppings on it. It was good after we cleaned the floors. The last thing is that the yard work could be improved on. Enjoyed the stay
